Announcement -- Rules Change!
After just 24 hours, it has become increasingly apparent that my "level the playing field" idea of plussing another character whenever you plus Dunbar is . . . not working. I think it's stopping poeple from playing the game, which, I assure you all, was not my intention! Who cares if he wins by a kajillion points? Not me.
So scrap that. Back to the old rules. Plus Jimmy into the stratosphere, and minus everyone else to your heart's content.
Also -- let's all play three times a day!
And, as I said in the intro, karma awaits. The admins will be awarding karma for the funniest post of the day, the wackiest, the most emotionally moving, the most inventive, the most creative . . . and if you can come up with a reason that has (as far as anyone knows or remembers) never been used before? Karma Nirvana!
Play on . . . and watch this space.

And just because I hated to see one of my favorite screencaps of Jimmy, (and my avatar) disappear on the previous page, I am reposting Maggie's original picture to go along with my first post. Detective Jim Dunbar++For allowing someone to give you blond highlights for the rest of the series; however I would have loved you anyway as mousy brown. Detective Karen Bettancourt++ For offering Jim a ride to Walter's racket even though you were bringing a date. Chief Tunney-- For never even cracking a smile. Detective Jim Dunbar - 25 Detective Karen Bettancourt - 21 Detective Tom Selway - 17 Lieutenant Gary Fisk - 15 Dr. Alan Galloway - 15 Artie Steckle - 15 Detective Terry Jansen - 15 Walter Clark-15 Chief Tunney - 15 Detective Marty Russo-13 Christie Dunbar-13 Sonny Famigletti-11 Nick Dyson-11

My first for today, and back to the old rules from the first game. Aaah, what a relief. Detective Jim Dunbar ++ If we ever decided on a list of the Top Ten Favorite Lines from Blind Justice, and then voted on them (Whoa. Now there's an idea!) I'm guessing this one would be in the top three. We all know it, we all love it, and it never loses its power to move us . . . "I'd rather lose my sight than my courage." Sonny Famigletti ++ C'mon. The idea of a blind drug dealer wasn't completely hinky. Sonny Boy is nothing if not creative! (Then again, how would Ted know if he was being paid in hundreds or ones unless he brought along his nifty little machine and made the client wait while he identified every bill?!) Detective Terry Jansen - - For making the trip down to the Eight to confront Jim on his first day back at work. Terry, Terry, Terry, it's all about you, isn't it? Detective Jim Dunbar - 27 Detective Karen Bettancourt - 21 Detective Tom Selway - 17 Chief Tunney - 17 Lieutenant Gary Fisk - 15 Dr. Alan Galloway - 15 Artie Steckle - 15 Walter Clark-15 Christie Dunbar - 13 Detective Terry Jansen - 13 Detective Marty Russo-13 Sonny Famigletti - 13 Nick Dyson-11 And thanks for putting up your avatar again, rducasey! I could look at it all . . . day . . . long. As for Chief Tunney never cracking a smile, have you taken a good look at his teeth? We're talkin' Roquefort cheese here.

Here is something I have meant to mention for a while but keep forgetting. Canadian money has braille dots in the top right hand corner so that blind people can identify the denomination. I'm surprised US money doesn't!

Still trying to figure out the new Survival game. Been away for awhile. I'm sure I'll figure it out, if not, I know someone will get with me on it.
Later, Carl

Chief Tunney++for not reaming Fisk a new one for letting Jim go undercover, at least not in front of his detectives Detective Terry Jansen--for actually daring to challenge Jim to test his coat for gunshot residue.

We tried some new rules but they didn't pan out. Think of this as the old game but with fewer characters . . . and this time you have the chance to kill off characters someone beat you to the first time! Two plusses or two minusus, three characters every turn, and you can play THREE times a day. Go for it!

Marty -- for assuming Jim was something he was not before he got to know him

Detective Jim Dunbar ++ (For following his instincts and insisting on going back to the roof one more time.)
Detective Karen Bettancourt ++ (For taking Jim back to the roof, despite her obvious doubts.)

Christie Dunbar++for being understanding when Jim didn't tell her that he had been cleared by Galloway and that he really didn't need to see him again and even being able to kid him about it ("evenn though you are crazy") Detective Karen Bettencourt++for having a kind word for Titus Oliver after all he had been through Walter Clark--for putting Jim in a tight spot by telling him about Nick, why didn't you tell Karen yourself?

Gary Fisk++for bringing a touch of nature into an otherwise bland and sterile work environment with your fresh flowers and philodendren
