What are the chances? So when you see them, do you see the people in front of you or someone else? Ha ha! Never met him actually. I only found out yesterday, so that remains to be seen who I'll see!

Any idea if they have got a dog? A German Shepherd? Don't know. That would be weird, though, especially if that name matched too!

You spend over an hour-and-a-half uploading the BJ theme song so you in turn can download it as a ringtone to your cell phone only to get an error message that you don't understand. You are going to the store to find out what it means so you can figure out how to fix it tomorrow. How long are you going to let it ring before you answer it? Hope you get the bugs worked out.

I did figure it out myself. I fixed the problem, uploaded it onto a site and then downloaded it onto my phone. It is now my ringer and Father Flynn is my screensaver. The phone only rings four times before it goes to voicemail, but I can listen to the whole song on the phone anytime. Lest anyone think I have totally lost it, I do have downloaded ringers and screensavers on the phone that have absolutely nothing to do with BJ or the blonde dude. (Sorry, I couldn't help myself ;D)

You're reading David McCullough's book 1776 and come across a reference to Red Hook and you're first thought is that is where Jim grew up! ( and the map helps you get an idea where it is!)

You're scanning the obituaries in the newspaper and run across a name that sounds familiar. Maybe they're related to this guy (you think) you know. As you read through the next of kin, you suddenly realize that the person you think you know -- Dean Bostic -- is a character on a defunct TV series. D'Oh!

You read BJO's post and it reminds you of Marlon's Brando.
I don't want to make light, though, of the subject of BJO and Barb's posts. It was a terrible day for the entire country and we all experienced it in different ways. Of course, those of us who were not actually in New York did not experience the same degree of horror as those who were physically there, nor did we experience it in same way. Barb, I think your decision to go to work on Tuesday is the right one. To do anything else would send the wrong signal to those who perpetrated the event.

Or if -- the ongoing horror of 9/11 aside -- you're working on a new BJ fic over a long hot n' steamy weekend and suddenly, after more than a year, you are inspired to go back and watch an episode. (How much Blind Justice do you watch? Not all that much, since I want to savor the experience for years to come and not wear it out. Plus coming here to this board every day makes it seem as though I am watching it. ) So you trot out your ridiculously expensive Emmy DVD from eBay (the first three episodes) and watch The Pilot. It looks, fresh, it looks new. (Again with you and The Pilot, eh, Maggie?) And you are struck, again, by the lightening-fast and skillfully-edited tragedy of the shootout at the bank . . . You fall in love with Fisk all over again . . . And with Karen, delightful Karen . . . You still want to just smack Christie . . . And that stinker Terry . . . . . . and you are are struck, once again, by how complete and fully formed Ron Eldard's performance was, from the first moment in the squad room. You are struck, once again, by how this actor grabbed you as Jim Dunbar as he grabbed you in no other performance . . . . . . and you are struck, once again, by how quickly the cast came together to form an ensemble and how glorious -- glorious! -- the writing was in this show. And you find yourself wondering if, after all this time, it would be possible to start yet another discussion thread about The Pilot. Watch this space.

I don't know about anyone else but my screen name says it all. I still watch it alot and it never wears out for me. Although I did have to find the person on ebay I got mine from and get another set because I wore the first one out. I made backups of those and the originals are now safely tucked away in case they're needed.

Can you believe that? ?

And you find yourself wondering if, after all this time, it would be possible to start yet another discussion thread about The Pilot. I can't help but wonder what else could there possibly be? Heh. I was joking, Vera (or whatever you're calling yourself today. ) I will be the first to admit that's there's probably nothing new to be said about The Pilot -- those threads are longer than the old Survival Game, for crying out loud -- but I will also admit that I'm perfectly happy rehashing what's already been said, as I just proved. As for how many times I've watched it or any other Blind Justice episode, part of it was wanting to keep the experience fresh, but mostly it was because I don't have back-up DVDs! Nor do I have the ability to make back-ups. When I bought my fancy new Dell three years ago I thought I was getting a computer with a DVD drive, but no. (Giving myself the Stephanie Plum head slap here.) I can burn CDs but not DVDs, nor can I watch them on this machine, which is probably a good thing -- if I could sit here at my desk and watch Jim and the gang, I'd never get any work done! So I watch what I have very seldom and I'm very, very, very careful not to wear them out. MODIFIED TO ADD:Bjo, can you tell me, please -- just how many times can you watch a DVD before it wears out? And what does it look like when it wears out -- images breaking up into digital squares, or soft 'n fuzzy like a worn-out VHS tape? Inquiring minds want to know!
