Here we go again. I see the most recent version of this game is still limping along, but it's just not going anywhere. I get the impression that we're all a bit sick of voting things off, but the new approach wasn't all that exciting so...let's try it in a poll format. Obviously we'll need to vote more than once, but I think we should set the maximum at three votes per day per person--and feel free to vote for different moments. Like the last variation of the game, this is an experiment for now, but I think it will be faster and more fun than what I had you doing.
When you take a turn, you're welcome to post a comment about why you voted as you did, but you don't have to do that. It's also okay to just vote.
Modified to add:
Ooops. Turns out we can only vote once per poll. I don't think there's a way to change that.

I like this! Then we can move on to the next episode fairly quickly. Maybe when we get the top moment chosen from each episode, for the final biggie we can go back to some sort of format where we get to discuss and chew and protest and talk about our reasons. Can you see who has voted? I think we need a way to know when everyone who's participating has voted. I'm just sayin.'MODIFIED TO ADD:Maybe when everyone is voted, we take the top three and do another poll? I can't imagine we'll get a majority on the first round!

I don't know if everyone can see who voted, but admin can. There's a little thing at the bottom that you click to view who has voted in the poll.
And I'm all for having another round or two for the top contenders. Now we just need people to come up with more top moments from the other episodes so we can vote on them when we're ready.

Maybe when everyone is voted, we take the top three and do another poll? I can't imagine we'll get a majority on the first round! I like this much, much better too. It's quick and has a definite end. Maybe we all say once we have voted. Then everyone will know. I just voted. I also love the top three idea--just how one of our provincial parties here did their last leadership vote! Wonderful idea Shmeep!

I'm done!! Modified to add: I voted for "Karen offers her arm to Jim for the first time. " Because it establishes the relationship between Karen and Jim for the first time, and that's one of the scenes I remember touching me back then - I haven't seen the Pilot since sep. 2005 when it was shown on Danish television, since I was a fool and didn't tape the first three episodes, sigh!!!!

Cast my vote! I also like the idea of later discussing why we chose what we did.

Maybe it's just too early in the morning and my brain is not awake yet, but how come I can not figure how to vote in the poll. I get the poll up, but no where to put my vote? Or since I voted the other day, maybe that's why. Are we just allowed one vote? That must be it. Make's sense. I guess I was just trying to stuff the ballot box. Well I just reread and found my answer. Oops. Turns out we can only vote once per poll. I don't think there's a way to change that. So now everyone vote, so we can move on to the next episode.

Voting on this was really hard, not only because there are so many good moments, but because my real favorite moment -- when Terry corners Jim in the locker room -- isn't on the list. Oh, well, you can never please everyone in this group. "Herding cats" comes to mind.

Oh, well, you can never please everyone in this group. "Herding cats" comes to mind. Herding cats . . . love it! Yeah, how did we miss that one? It's right up there on the top of my list for one of the best scenes ever: the dialogue, the acting, the body language, and especially that glorious moment when Jims rasps out, "Stop it. We both know what happened that day . . . " Oh, yeah. At least you got that great line in the top dialogue poll!

Reminds me think of that commerical with the cat wranglers driving those American shorthairs to town. Its amazing how you suddenly realize that an important scene somehow got missed but, with the Pilot, they are all important and great scenes.

It was so hard for me to only vote for one item. I sat here quite a while trying to decide. I voted for the shot of Jim's eyes right after the dream. I guess the reason I did was because from that moment on, everything was different for him. Everything had to be uphill after that.
