Didn't know where to put this, or even what to call the thread lol but anyway. Anyone else buy random, probably useless, items they feel they just NEED, for whatever reason? Spoony and I are quite often doing this, and one thing we came across the other day was this: Now, not only was it called 'Blind', but it also happend to be the police one!!! There were all sorts of names given, but we thought it was cute and kinda funny that the police one was blind and vice-versa. So, of course, we both needed one of these tiny, useless skateboards!!!

I've seen those teeny "Blind" skateboards, but never the police one. I would have been tempted to buy it. I was looking through the toy aisle for Daredevil related toys. I have some of the most useless dust collectors in the world, but they make me happy, so that's all that matters, eh?

... it was a necessary purchase. If only Jim used a skateboard in an episode... My Blind police skateboard is still in its packet. I glance at it every now and then and go 'ooooooh'. I'm easily pleased.

Jim on a skateboard? Somehow I don't see that ending too grandly. Poor Jim. You should take you Blind skateboard out and make it zoom around. It's much fun. After a request by Spoony, I am also going to share these 2 little German Shepherds I have (Spoony also has the same dogs), which of course we needed as well! Who doesn't need 'mini Hanks?' meet Hank & Flint

... If only Jim used a skateboard in an episode... Well, not exactly Jim on a skateboard, but pretty close, Wade on a skateboard in the first episode of Bakersfield PD. He even does that finger in the air thing, like Jim did to Karen just before the speedbag.....sigh......" when he stops Paul , soon to be his partner, to ask him if he knows who opened for some group since he was black and would know the answer. Can't recall now who it was.... And he was pretty good on that skateboard, in shorts and kneepads.......so I bet Jimmy could have done it.

You're right, GB,you're right." Just goes to show you I had trouble taking my eyes away from that face to look down to see what he was zooming along on. Sorry.

pez dispensers of muppet characters,, gonzo is my favorite One of my friends has a massive box full of Pez dispensers! I have mini-Gonzo! And big Fozzie. My mantle is covered with random Muppet toys. So I guess my random stuff I Must have would include almost any Muppet or Fraggle puzzles, records, pictures, stationery, books, little plastic toys, stickers, t-shirts, and figurines, etc. Then there's my 80s children's book collection, my 80s cartoon figure glasses (cups), random toys (like my slinkie and Rubik's Cube).... The Fraggle Rock items are even more exciting to find at thrift stores and garage sales and antique malls, as they're more rare. Once I even found Bean Bunny from Tale of the Bunny Picnic. (One day I WILL find Sprocket the dog!) My house is full of, to quote FP: "random, probably useless, items I feel I just NEED." But they're so much fun! And they greatly entertain my friends, which is what's important--where else can twenty-something's get all excited about playing a toddler game of Muppet Babies or Smurfs? And then sit around in bean bag chairs reading children's books? Sadly, and we've all tried it with different techniques, but my stairs are too wide for my Slinky to work properly. Whoo hoo for random toys! --GB

I'm not nearly that sophisticated in my collecting endeavours. Here was the latest gift from a friend in the UK: It's a cast lead figure (think lead soldiers) and is about 3 inches tall. Amazing detail for something that tiny. Of course, this is Daredevil. The same friend is going to send me an Elektra figure sometime soon.
