I once dreamed that I put the paper tape backwards in my adding machine. But I was able to fix it.

Two recurring themes appear in the majority of my dreams.
The first is water. Any type of water. The ocean, a river, a bathtub, public restroom, rain. These images don't usually bother me.
The second recurring theme is ladders. Or stairs. Some kind of object that assists in me moving from one level to another. Almost always made out of some kind of flimsy material. One dream had me having to climb down from the ceiling on a ladder made of cereal boxes tied together with twine. I'm not afraid of heights but these images always frighten me.

I went to this house where we used to visit relatives, and I guess no one had been there since the last time we were there, because they still had the toys set up the same as we'd left them, and it was all dusty, and some of the books had been nearly completely eaten away... And we were going to have to stay there for a while, but then from the doorway came two skunks, and I started to move away, but I didn't want to scare them, so I stopped, and stayed crouched, and they dragged me, one by the pants' leg, and one by my shoe laces. And then I realized a raccoon, this behemoth of a raccoon, was pushing from behind. And there were opposums and the skunks left me in the middle of the room and I was afraid the raccoon contingency was going to beat me up, and the rabbits had eaten most of the books, just leaving bits of the centers, so it was only about an inch left of each book.
I got woken up as I was surveying the area and trying to figure out if the animals were supposed to be there or not, but that's a good thing, as I was extraordinarily worried about those skunks!
(One interpretation--perhaps I was a wee bit worried about that gyro I'd eaten at three in the morning, a little heavy on the garlic...)
