Great letter Lori. Here's hoping letters from Australia, the US and Canada will make an impression on the powers that be.
Thanks for all your hard work. Now it's up to us to do our part which I know we will!

Lori, re your wonderful April 4 letter to MacPherson -- I see you cc'd it to Steven Bochco. Were you able to find his new address? If so, please post it for us here!
Thanks!

I am still not very positive that anything we do at this point is going to have any measure of success (given the past dealings with ABC) but I also have my fingers crossed that we might just find that one soul at ABC Television who could make it happen! So we plug on!
And yes, I did cc: Steven Bochco at his new address as follows:
Steven Bochco Productions 3000 Olympic Boulevard Suite 1310 Santa Monica, CA 90404
Guess I'll have to resend my March 13th letter to him as well - who knows if Twentieth Century Fox is forwarding mail.

So we plug on! "I think I can, I think I can," said the Little Engine That Could. That's our story and we're sticking to it. Right?

Even though I remain so skeptical based on what happened with the petition and Project 308, etc., I will never call it day until someone finally tells me that it's over and done, there are no other avenues to travel, no other contacts to make, no hope OR until the day I have that boxed set in my hot little hands!
That's when we quit but not until then!

There really is no accounting for taste! Supernanny got renewed, Supernanny is released! (Head against brick wall - bang!bang!bang!)
As an update, there has been absolutely no response from anyone at ABC yet - Surprise, surprise, surprise! I sent four emails, two on Wednesday to Product Development, two on Thursday and absolutely nothing! I know, I said I'm skeptical, but I might be just a little overly optomistic too - or perhaps it is just the result of some really wishful thinking!
Since my first letter regarding the DVD campaign went out to Mr. Bochco, I thought I would share it as well. Obviously I had to change the address so I did and sent it off again yesterday.

In re: Blind Justice
Dear Mr. Bochco and the creative talents at Bochco Productions:
On the 8th of March this year, a dedicated group of us gathered via VCR at 10:00 p.m. ET to celebrate what is, for us, a very special anniversary, the airing of the pilot episode of Blind Justice just one year ago. It seemed an appropriate act to honor such an exceptional offering, one that left such an indelible mark on so many, one that in such a short time was able to impact so many lives, one that we still miss terribly.
The 3,800+ signatures on the original petition presented to ABC Television in support of Blind Justice were a testament to how deeply it touched its viewing audience and how much that audience appreciated its uniqueness, its quality, its message. Jim Dunbar was a positive role model for those living with a “handicap” or adjusting to life in an altered world; an individual presented as being capable and able, tenacious and proud. And perhaps it was in that portrayal that Blind Justice managed to open some doors of acceptance along the way.
For those of us who mourn it a year later, it was and always will be one of the finest hours of television we have had the pleasure to be part of. I wish our efforts to demonstrate to you, to your staff and colleagues, to the incredible cast and crew, how much we valued this endeavor were more successful, that we could have made the powers that be realize how exceptional Blind Justice really was, that it wasn’t just another television drama, rather an experience, a journey of sorts, a thinking persons show with depth and substance. Unfortunately our fight, our petition, and our letter writing campaign were not enough to elicit the result we so desperately sought and that journey ended far too soon.
We are now hopeful that Blind Justice will be made available to us through a DVD release and that we will have an opportunity to own those thirteen incredible episodes. On behalf of a very committed Blind Justice audience, I am turning to you, to the man who had the vision, to let you know that there does exist within the marketplace a demand for its release and a determined hope on our part that we will see that desire realized. We would be so appreciative of any guidance you may offer to ensure that our efforts are effectively reaching the parties responsible for that decision.
If what we are attempting is not to be, then please accept this letter as my personal thank you for having the vision and the courage to bring Blind Justice to life and for allowing us the opportunity, however brief, to be a part of something so extraordinary. The void left by its cancellation has yet to be filled. I honestly doubt that it ever will.
Sincerely,
Lori Der-Hacopian On-Line Petition Author

Lori- Thanks for the very heart-felt letter you sent to Mr. Bochco. I had been wondering if mentioning the number of signatures to the petition would have made any impact. At least it will let them know many people liked the show and were interested enough to take the time to add their name in the effort to try and save it. I went to tvshowsondvd and just did some looking at upcoming releases. Talk about headbanging! Tommy Lee Goes to College April 25, Thundercats season 2 April 18, American Dad April 25, Law and Order:Trial by Jury April 25 and something called Robot Chicken released in March. There is no accounting for taste and when they say that a dvd release depends on market demand...Robot Chicken!!!!!

Who knows if Twentieth Century Fox is forwarding mail. They are not forwarding mail, which is why my March 10th letter to Bochco was returned, with a Twentieth Century Fox sticker across the address; the "No longer at this address" box was checked. Where did you find SB's new address? You put Sherlock Holmes to shame!
