So, now let me get this right: you think just because you printed the entire lyrics of Blinded by the Light, there will be no more misheard lyrics? Oh, Pleeeze.
Later, Carl
Karma to you and thanks.

Not only that, Carl, but what drugs was Springsteen on when he wrote that?
I was better off not knowing the lyrics...

Instead of the term "drugs," I prefer saying: Better living through modern chemistry

There has to be a joke somewhere in this.
Some of you have either said or heard someone start singing the opening words of the U.S. National Anthem, using the misheard lyrics ploy "Jose can you see?"
Now, there is this big debate on a Spanish language U.S. National Anthem.
(To our Canadian and Aussie friends: Oh, say can you see, is the opening line in the Anthem.)

(To our Canadian and Aussie friends: Oh, say can you see, is the opening line in the Anthem.) No need to tell me--I know all the words from hockey games! I love the Australian anthem, what fun! Ours (Canada) is quite nice I think. IMHO the US one is quite violent--a national anthem glorifying war?

Speaking of anthems, my son misheard a line from the Australian anthem as "our land is dirt by sea" instead of " girt by sea". It's a silly word anyway. Mine: I always thought "Do the hustle" was "tuna hot sauce". *shrugs*. I also have a reputation in my family for making up words when I can't remember the right ones.

In Alanis Morissette's "Everything" I always heard her sing "I'm the most gorgeous Mormon that you've ever known" It's actually Woman - with a strange intonation.

Let me guess--Alanis is your favorite singer? (looking at your signature). She sang the national anthem at the last home game in the Stanley Cup Final in Ottawa. I believe she is from Ottawa.

Surely I am not alone on this Board among people of my generation (the top end of X) in the common misinterpretation "Alex the Seal" for "Our Lips are Sealed"?
