Has anyone read Misconceptions by Naomi Wolf? I have just been reading it as I was interested, having recently had a baby myself, and she paints a fairly bleak picture of the whole pregnancy/birthing experience in the American health care system and I just wondered if it was really like that. Her book seems to be quite one-sided to me (she is very critical of the conventional obstetrician/hospital birth and the increasing caesarian rates).
