Hello,
Can anyone help me with this?
I am trying to remember the name of a show about a blind private eye. It is old, I think from the 70's. Shmeep already helped me with suggesting "Second Sight", but I was not thinking of that.
Does anyone remember this show? Or, does anyone know of other blind cop or privated detective shows?
Thanks so much.

That show would be Longstreet, about a blind insurance investigator.

Does anyone here remember a show from about 20 years ago, called Mr. Sunshine?
It was a sitcom, I think it only lasted one season, and it starred Jeffrey Tambor as a blind professor.
I loved it at the time, but I was young. Looking back, it was in very poor taste, full of stereotypes. But just wondered if anyone else ever ran across this show.

He was the stereotypical blind curmudgeon professor. I don't know if it even lasted a season. It was pretty bad as I recall. Seems like I remember a scene where someone comes into his place and he's in the bathroom shaving in the dark. There was some sort of bad taste remark about turning on the light, and he said why should I care, or something to that effect. Not terribly memorable.

By the way, if anyone is living in Canada, they are running the old Longstreet series on one of the channels up there. Got friends? Maybe they will make you a dvd.

Speaking of other blind shows. I just read that Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies, was in the Second Sight series on the BBC. He played Thomas. I still haven't watched the whole thing, but I want to so I can see if I see Draco.

I still haven't watched the whole thing, but I want to so I can see if I see Draco. This piqued my curiosity, so I looked up Second Sight on the IMBD. Sure enough, Tom Felton played Thomas in the episode "Hide and Seek." Since you haven't watched it yet, I won't say more about his character. But he is definitely recognizable as a younger "Draco." Edited to add: By the way, there's a scene with Thomas, Tanner, and a dog. Sound familiar?

Heh. I missed the second episode of Second Sight the first time I watched the series on PBS so I didn't get a Draco sighting. It wasn't until I bought the DVD that I got a look at him. I almost did a spit take and then laughed aloud when I saw him. I don't know why that struck me as so funny, but it did.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll try to find out which station is running it. I'd sure love to see it! Edited to add this: Found it on the Longstreet fan site. It is the Canadian Mystery Channel.

This wasn't a TV show but was on Wide World of Disney ages ago. It was a story about a guy who worked for the Seeing Eye as a trainer and his relationship with one dog. I can't remember the name of it. I think the trainer was played by Timothy Bottoms. At the end, when the dog and its new handler were doing their final test, there was a storm and the dog had to lead the man past some live wires that had fallen onto the walk. Can anyone remember what this was???

Can anyone remember what this was??? I remember this. It's called Love Leads the Way. It's the true story of Morris Frank, one of the first guide dog users. It's really good! (even though it's Disney!)

It is an excellent movie, but is hard to find as it's about 20 years old now. It's not available on dvd. I've tried.
