Guess who's on Ugly Betty? Letitia Berraras. Yes, as the sister! What a great show. I loved how she was so dogged in the pursuit of her dream and hated how the majority of people in the office were total ******! Really, there was nothing wrong with her other than she didn't conform to their idea of what was beautiful? Considering that most of them have undoubtly had some kind of plastic surgery or other 'enhancement' (botox!!!), they are not only fake on the inside but the outside as well! |

What a great show. I loved how she was so dogged in the pursuit of her dream and hated how the majority of people in the office were total ******! All those fake people with shriveled souls make Betty sooo refreshing in contrast. I think of all the new shows this fall, this one is definitely my favorite. I adore Betty and her family and I love to hate her co-workers. And nice touch with the Scottish woman who gets to keep the size zero clothes but has to adapt them to her not-size-zero frame. I enjoyed her scenes for the creative clothing alone. This show is fun and doesn't take itself too seriously--as demonstrated by the way the people at the magazine walk--but it also tugs at some heartstrings along the way. Brilliant. Letitia didn't even annoy me. I have a feeling she'll be around a lot, since she's Betty's sister. I like her little son who is obviously maturing toward a life of gayness and I love how Selma Hayek stars in the hilarious telenovela that's always on TV. Great little joke, poking fun at a telenovela when that's how the original Ugly Betty originated. |

I knew the actor who plays Betty's father on Ugly Betty looked familiar and it finally dawned on me tonight: it's Tony Plana, who played Luke Ramirez on Bakersfield P.D.

I just love this show.
Last night, Fey decided it was time to make an appearance and flitted quickly through the Mead Thanksgiving brunch to be seen only by Bradford.
Mark and the secretary whose name escapes me, watched the Macy's parade from Wilhelmina's office, then spent the rest of the day trying on designer gowns, drinking champagne and telling each other their woes. Then they called the secret number from W's book and reached Fey.
Nico came home from her French boarding school. Wilhelmina thought she was coming for the holiday and canceled her date to fix Thanksgiving dinner with a little help from Martha Stewart.
Betty, who confessed that the one thing she knew she was good at was taking care of her family, spent most of the holiday running at Daniel's beck and call.
Daniel who has the hots for Sofia, the new editor, was the third wheel with Sofia and her boyfriend Hunter at a salsa club. Sofia gave Daniel an ultimatum. She wants the white picket fence and lots of children and is he ready to settle down because Hunter is and proposed.
Poor Betty--juggling her career, her father's illegal immigration problem, her boss, her boyfriend and now having the smary lawyer her sister hired run off with their money. Oh, and the mini telenovella that is on the TV in the background! This show definitely keeps me tuning in!

I love ugly Betty. I love the show for alot of reasons. First, because they are not the typical Latino stereo types (remember the Latin gentlemens). I like the fact that Betty goes after her dreams and does not let others stand in her way, but she does not act like a steamroller to go after her deams. I love her compassion for others even when they don't deserve it (Like Daniel). I like her family. But I also love the other characters. They are so funny. I also love the fact that Betty is from Queens, like our favorite Blond dude and redhead girl are from.

I totally agree about Walter. Not only is he a Dork but a cheating one. Betty, you can do better. I hope they keep bringing back the guy in the office who likes her.
