So here's what's really cool. I was coming out of the train and walking down my block in Forest Hills when I happened upon the filiming of Law & Order: Criminal Intent. On my block! They were finishing up, moving on to Middle Village (where I used to live) and I saw Vincent D'Onofrio; we exchanged pleasantries ;D and he had to go onto the other location. Goes to show: right place, right time and you never know WHO you can meet and run into.  |

Cool! No wonder you love NY. You just never know who you might run into or what you might see.

Thanks! It was very cool - yes now you know why I love my city, apart from all the action that goes on here. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

You are so right about right place, right time and you never know who you can meet. It's happened to me (and my sister) before and you just go with whatever is happening. |

My sister and I will be heading to visit Bebe a couple of weeks after your visit and I know we're really looking forward to it. |

Not a huge CSI fan - never watched an episode - but that is too cool! And I can certainly understand why they would choose that neighborhood to film!
Having lived in L.A. for three+ years, I know about those happenstance sightings - not that we ever saw anyone big - obviously didn't hang out in the right hot spots, but my office building was used for a movie; we saw Kris Kristofferson on Sunset Boulevard on a Sunday afternoon and a few other non-descript celebrities.
And believe it or not, way back when, when they were one of Canada's premier bands, I met Burton Cummings of the Guess Who at the beach!
It can happen.....just got to be in the right place at the right time. Obviously New York is the right place!

Living in a crazy-busy city like LA, NY, Boston, Chicago (to name a few) can really bring about surprises for sure. And that's what's so exciting - I've seen others, too, as I'm sure some on this board have, and it's awesome! As for this afternoon, who knew? I didn't and I happened upon it. Pretty neat for sure!!! You neeeeeeever know what or whom lurkes around the corner..... |
