Go to ebay and type in "emmy DVDs". I am sooooo envious JEALOUS that all these people get these great boxed sets of DVDs from the networks, studios, etc., and can turn around and sell them for mucho buckaroos. (Of course, I've bought a few myself, heh.) Even though I'm not interested in many of these shows, I am just salivating thinking about what great treasures are showing up in the mailboxes of the "chosen ones". And they're not even watching them, or even taking the shrink wrap off in some cases. Rant: If they would make the shows available on DVD to us peons, then there wouldn't be such a market for the emmy versions. There, I said it. Rant over. For now.

I have a good friend who is an Emmy voter. She gets literally hundreds of these dvd's every year. 90% of what she gets is garbage. She gets so much crap from all the obscure cable channels it is almost too much trouble!
Also, it is illegal to sell them so the people who do sell them are bound to suffer from some bad karma. You can take comfort in that!
My friend donates all of hers to the local library.

Aah, like a blast from the past, logging on to find a classic doobrah rant -- you go, girl! Mouse, I applaud your friend who donates her DVDs to the library.
