Once I realized that the satellite hadn't gone out, and that truly was the ending, I just started laughing.

Several months ago, several co-workers and I were discussing possible ways to end it. I suggest a "Butch Cassidy"-type ending: freeze frame to the sound of gunfire & let the audience decide what happens.

Not far off the mark! But I am glad it leaves the door open to future sagas.
