Did anyone besides me catch the new CBS summer show, Creature Comforts? It is created by the same Oscar winning people who created Wallace and Gromit. I am a huge W&G fan. The claymation is simply the best around. This show was and is a huge success in the UK. They record interviews with ordinary people and then animate them by showing plasticine animals instead of humans. It is really delightful. Mary, you and Kathy would have loved the lobsters sitting in the hot tub (a pot of boiling water!) Since I don't have cable or satellite, this is the best I can watch right now. The minute I hear if Ron is doing anything like a cable series, I will certainly be the first one around here to sign up.

I saw it last week and was rather disappointed that this week was a rerun! It is funny. I thought the monologue by the dog--it was a dog wasn't it???-- on health care and rectal thermometers was hilarious. It definitely puts a funny spin on things

I completely LOVE this little show. We have it on regularly although I don't often catch it myself.

I guess they cancelled this show after three shows. CBS said just not enough people watching. It seems to me that any time a truly original show or idea comes on the scene, there just aren't enough people watching to make a go of it....Now they have a quality show that people can watch...Big Brother--NOT!

This was an American version of Creature Comforts, and it was just ok. The animation was fine, but the humor was ....lacking. I've been watching the Brit version on BBC America for a couple of years and it is vastly superior. A lot more innuendo and cheekiness.
Of course BBCA runs it at 11 pm on Fridays, where CBS ran the American version on, what, 8 pm on Monday?
It's not on BBCA for the summer, but will probably return in the fall.
