Is anyone watching Eli Stone on ABC? I started watching it because there wasn't much on as a result of the writer's strike. I'm not sure what the show's situation is -- Is it filler? Will it be renewed? -- but I'm enjoying it.

I've watched all the Eli Stones so far and am really enjoying it. It looked like it might go into the "too cute/creative" category, but I didn't find that to be the case. Eli is a great character with a lot of depth and I love getting to see Victor Garbor as his boss/ ex-future father-in-law. Oh, and Maggie the idealistic new lawyer is fun to watch. My favorite part, though is getting to see Tom Cavagnaugh (I know I didn't spell that right) as Eli's dad in the flashbacks. I loved him as "Ed" so it's always a treat to get to see him on other shows. I didn't know there were any Eli Stone watchers over here. And hello, EGW! Haven't seen you in a while.

I get a laugh out of Patty, Eli's assisant. So sassy! The flashbacks are very well done. They give a lot of insight into Eli's past. I don't know Ed Cavanaugh (I'm terrible with actors' names and past roles), but he's very good, too.
I hope they pick it up for more episodes.

Patty is great! I've seen that actress on Boston Public and Grey's Anatomy, but she really shines in this role. I love her sarcasm and her unreasonable dislike of Eli's ex. She's delightful. I can't imagine anyone else in that role.
I haven't been following news of this show at all so I don't know how it's doing in the ratings or what its chances are for renewal. Roush gave it a good review, but stipulated that had a lot to do with the lack of anything else on at the time.
