Does anybody find themselves using those wonderful one-liners in conversation? I do. Absolutely! Yep, I definitely use that one! I have not yet added up the number of times I've said it in one day, but I will start tallying it soon.
Then there's "no problem." It creeps into conversations all the time, providing an immediate positive response to whatever the question.
How about "We're on the same page, right?' This is one of my favorites. I reserve it, or some variation, for when my husband and I are discussing one of those unacceptable behavior and resulting consequence issues of our daughter's. Talk about cutting right to the heart of the matter without all that fluff; we're in agreement, right, yes or no.
However, my all-time favorite is Fisk's "acting like pissed-off stepsisters" in Seoul Man. Love that one! I used it yesterday! So exciting! Yes, two guys at work were behaving, no question, like pissed-off stepsisters. I likened their behavior to my favorite one-liner while discussing the situation with my coworker. He loved it. Couldn't stop laughing. Guess it put a picture in his head. What a delicious feeling, being able to use it. I only would have had more satisfaction if I could have said it to the two directly. Unfortunately, they were not in my office together so I will have to wait for another opportunity. Where I work? The distinct possibly exists I will be be able to use it again.

Does anybody find themselves using those wonderful one-liners in conversation? This is kind of a long story, but stick with me here. In Four Feet Under, after Jim and Karen interrogate Lloyd, Jim gets mad at Karen for "cutting short" his interview. Karen points out that he has served time and that she doesn't see him "strolling into a confession." Now, I have a kind of fascination with mullets (you know the "business in the front party in the back" hairstyle). Whenever I see a wicked mullet, which is sadly not very often, I point out the my kids that you can't "just stroll into a mullet like that." Goofy, but it makes me laugh!

Oh, where to start? So many great one-liners. (This is sort of like the favorite lines thread, isn't it?)
But I must confess, I've never been able to use any of them in conversation, with the exception of my favorite Fisk-ism. Not a one-liner, just a phrase:
"That said . . . "

Like Mags, I do find myself saying, "That being said..." (and it makes me grin every time).
I also have been using, "have a conversation," where previously I would have just said I need to have a talk.
Absolutely!

If I am dubious about something one of my kids is telling me I often find myself holding my index fingers to my lips and saying "I don't believe you." The other thing I say, from that same episode it "that's your call."

I absolutely use the word "absolutely " a lot now and have a little BJ moment. And. not exactly a one liner, but I often find myself doing the "Jimmy facial shrug". Maybe I always did it and was not aware of it, but now whenever I do it, it makes me think of Jim. Also when I say any phrase, like "Gimme a break (Marty)" it immediately brings back memories. Sigh.............ABC I hate you!.

This is ABSOLUTELY a great thread! I say absolutely a LOT now...or maybe I always did. Don't know. But I'm aware of it a lot now. And the other thing that has crept into my vocabulary is "I'm so glad you said that." And I tend to say it with the same intonation that Jim used sitting there on the living room floor, eating chinese from the carton! It almost doesn't matter what was just said to me... out it comes! lol!

Isn't "and yeah" from the show? Don't recall if it's common (ala Absolutely) or not. I like using Absolutely on the board, but don't elsewhere. Some of the lines that stand out to me on Blind Justice, I've noticed in other shows, most from long before Blind Justice. I think "and yeah" may have been the one I noticed on Becker. But here's why I'm really posting... anyone got a screencap of what's meant by the 'face shrug' I'm baffled, but curious. Kyt

Face Shrug (noun): From "Past Imperfect" and from "Up on the Roof":

I can't do those screencaps, but there should be one when Galloway tells him (you are a different cop, husband, etc.) and "he could use this as a new start", he does the shrug as he nods yes; also when Walter tells him not to be so hard on himself at his party I believe he shrugs just before taking the drink: and my favorite series of mini ones (3 or 4 in one scene) is when he is speaking to Fisk at the beginning of episode 13 ending with "You can do the job without a gun you know". He does the shrug as he nods.
