I know, I know, this thread doesn't REALLY belong in the Travel Tips Section, but then again everyone here knows my sense of humor.
The U.S. has announced to have a permanent base on the moon by 2020. Now I was just thinking:
What would you take with you for the trip and the stay at the new luxury Hotel Moon?
Later, Carl

I know, I know, this thread doesn't REALLY belong in the Travel Tips Section, but then again everyone here knows my sense of humor. Funny, Carl! But where else would you put this thread? I think it goes under Travel Tips. And later I'll start a discussion on my latest trip to the planet Vulcan. So lovely this time of year. If the moon really does have a Luxury Hotel, I wouldn't need to bring anything for basic survival--unless I'm a bit jittery, like Mags with her oxygen. I think I'd make sure I have plenty to read because I don't imagine there's much to do outside the hotel.

Probably a hair dryer and rollers, as I'm certain there won't be a salon there! "FLY ME TO THE MOON AND LET ME SWING AMONG THE STARS....."

Did I fail to mention. Walmart is already planning to build a Super Store? Later, Carl

I'd be sure to take my camera so I could take a day trip around to all of the Apollo landing sites and take pictures like a crazy tourist. I've taken pictures of Lunar Modules in museaums here on earth but I would love to see what remains of those that were actually used.

Well, looks like we were all waaaay off as to what to take with us to the moon.
Everyone seems to have missed packing: Diapers, a mallet, rubber gloves, wig, pepper spray, knife, gun, bb gun, co2 cartridges, ballpeen hammer, $600 in cash, and an overcoat.

I'd take a cheese knife and lots of crackers. What, you mean Wallace and Gromit had got things wrong, and the moon isn't made of cheese? That's a disappointment. More seriously, I'd take a my passport, some good books, a camera and a return ticket home. Personally, though, I'd rather go to a holiday destination with atmosphere. Krissie.

I would go look for the little soda machine that Wallace and Gromit left on the moon. Maybe by now the soda has turned into wine to go with those cheese and crackers!
