Until I come up with another movie riff, some general thoughts, fashion based:
Detective Jim Dunbar + + (For wearing those natural fiber suits with a certain ease, style, and je ne sais quoi. First rule of fashion: Never look like the clothes are wearing you.)
Detective Karen Bettancourt - - (Ease up on the leathah, sweetheart -- it's a Noo Yawk single gal cliche.)
Dr. Alan Galloway + + (For having the sense to know that with an unprepossessing physique -- not to mention a pot belly -- a simple cardigan and cordueroys was definitely the way to go. Low-key works for you, Doc.)
Detective Jim Dunbar - 269 Detective Karen Bettancourt - 139 Christie Dunbar - 82 Dr. Allan Galloway - 59 Lt. Gary Fisk - 41 Detective Tom Selway - 39 Artie Steckle-31 Walter Clark - 29 Chief Tunney - 20 The dear departed: 1 Nick Dyson 2 Terry Jansen 3 Sonny Famigletti 4 Detective Marty Russo

Detective Jim Dubar++the horrific aspects of the rape/slash case brought home to you how much you love Christie and how you were willing to give her up because you feel she would be 'safer with someone who can see' Christie Dunbar++for reassuring Jim that she had never felt less safe and that he was 'still my man' Detective Karen Bettencourt++for being comfortable enough to ask Jim to 'play up the blindness'
Detective Jim Dunbar - 273 Detective Karen Bettancourt - 143 Christie Dunbar - 86 Dr. Allan Galloway - 59 Lt. Gary Fisk - 41 Detective Tom Selway - 39 Artie Steckle-31 Walter Clark - 29 Chief Tunney - 20

Dr. Alan Galloway++for realizing that the day's events (Marlon's Brando) were especially traumatic for Jim but reassured him that he didn't need to be a super cop just a reasonably functioning human being like the rest of us. Detective Tom Selway--for counting the exact number of minutes it took to get to Sing Sing, lets hope Marty was driving!. Are we there yet! Lt. Gary Fisk--for asking Karen if she was alright and not Jim after Condell's suicide. Just because he's a veteran cop and blind doesn't mean he couldn't have used a shoulder too.
