Now, class, what part of Change- A-Letter do you not get? One letter only. You can add ONE letter. Take ONE letter away. Replace ONE letter. Not spelling the same word backwards. Not swap two letters around. Repeat offenders will be required to write on the blackboard 100 times: Only ONE letter.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Shmeep so for so eloquently describing my confusion with this game! Well, then I guess I'm wrong, I just followed suit with what I saw happening (see pg. 4 - "LAM" then "SLAP"). I suppose I'll never be able to keep up with these things, will I. Thanks for clearing it up. Knock, knock, Bebe, you edited your post and that's why my post looks wrong. I think you had SLAM when I changed it to slap. Too much cold meds there

Come on...are we stuck here? Remember you can drop a letter for the one letter thing. I think we may be stuck. At least I am. The only "words" I can come up with by changing one letter of "Astrol" are "Astros" as in the Houston Astros baseball team, or "Astro" as in a member of that team. But I'm not sure either of these is a real word outside baseball. Edited to add: There's also "Castrol," which is a brand of motor oil. But I'm not sure brand names are "legal."

I figure, if it's in the dictionary, it's legal. Astro is in my 35 year old Funk & Wagnalls, so I'm good with that.
Ok, it seems to have stalled. Martha, give us a new four or five letter word to begin.
