I heard about this on The Colbert Report; so here is the link to a list of the top 50 conservative rock songs. article.nationalreview.com/?q=NzZkNDU5MmViNzVjNzkzMDE3NzNlN2MyZjRjYTk4YjE=I found the whole concept very interesting. As a die-hard fan of The Who I almost fainted when I saw the number one song (quick someone get the smelling salts for mlm!). The list also includes songs by The Kinks (my second favorite band of all time), and Aerosmith. Wow. Interesting stuff.

You gotta be kidding me. Number 1 rock song of all time -- absolutely! Conservative -- absolutely not! Whoever put together that list obviously doesn't get the song's message. Of course, I wouldn't expect them to.

Of course, I wouldn't expect them to. Like those who think that "Born in the U.S.A." is a rah-rah song. That was an interesting list. Glad to see that some of my favorites made it. I love "Heroes" by Bowie. Becky

At least they didn't include Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Fortunate Son" -- which is as timely now as it was in the 1970s -- maybe even more so. But "Who'll Stop the Rain?" -- another one they didn't get, in my opinion. I absolutely refuse to let the right wing co-opt my music!
