Oh, this has to be the best story yet!!!! On Yahoo's front page today: A photo released by police on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 shows a horse standing next to a sleeping man in the foyer of a bank in the east German village of Wiesenburg on Monday, April 23, 2007. The obviously drunken man tried to rest with his horse in the bank's entrance, when passers-by called the police who could convince the man and horse to leave the bank. No charges will be filed. Common (horse) Sense was taken with the way the situation was handled.
Now, here in the U.S., charges would be piled-on. Let's see what we can come-up with: Drunk in Public. Public nuisance. Trespassing Unlisensed animal Animal Neglect Animal Cruelty Animal abuse Driving drunk (Actually happened last month.) Fire hazard (blocking a doorway) Loitering Littering Bio-Hazard Theft of Services (using a bank as a hotel and not paying)
(Lucy described the photo. Did I miss anything?)
Later, Carl

Chris I thought of YOU - well, not the drunk part. And I thought of you yesterday when I saw Romeo and petted/fed him. He is such a flirt, that little horse! You talk to him and he bobs his head up and down, or he nuzzles your hand.

Good thing for the bank staff - as far as I can tell by the picture anyway - that the poor little horse didn't make a deposit! Very funny!
