Anyone else notice that Jim often does not seem to stand straight and square ? I would have imagined a blind person would want to be fairly solid on their feet, especially standing still, but I have noted Jim sometimes has a strange stance with his right leg a little behind his left. Anyone know why? I've seen it in a few eps, like here in thelast one:

I always thought this stance was one of the best features of Ron Eldard's portrayal of Jim Dunbar. When I look at that picture, I see a blind man--someone who isn't kept centered and straight by his connection to the visual world. He stands like someone's whose thought's have turned in and who is no longer accutely aware of what his body is doing at any given moment.

Anyone know why? I've seen it in a few eps, like here in thelast one: Its very similiar to how he was standing in Doggone when he returned to the precinct after his little road trip to Hoboken. The stress and strain of the deal added to losing Hank, he would have been physically and emotionally drained!

Anyone know how tall Jim/Ron is? ;D I know he's not as big as he seems on TV. At celebheights.com they have him down as almost six feet tall, but some people disputed that, saying he can't be above 5'9". In a picture I saw with Ron Eldard and our own Kenina, she is 5'7" and wearing heels and he is just taller than her so I'd say 5'10" or 5'11" is a fair guess.

Ok, the height question is getting interesting - at least to me. IMDB has the heights of the following listed this way: Eldard 6'0"; David Duchovny 6' 1/2"; Paul Rudd 5'9". Now, taking into account that pictures can be deceiving regarding height, depending on the angle and who's in front of whom, we have the following. I've never known a man to put up with his height being listed as less than it really is. So, unless David is wearing Tea's Jimmy Choos, something is not right. Also, given that this was a candid photo, not an official photo op, I'm inclined to believe that neither man was vertically enhanced. Here, Ron looks about the same height as Paul. Here, he looks taller. Either it's the difference in camera angle, or the height of either Paul or Ron is, shall we say, "flexible." I have just spent fifteen minutes of my life that I can never get back on this topic.

As someone else who has been hugged by Ron and has a picture haning on the wall, my head comes just to his shoulder and I'm only five feet. Is there a whole foot from shoulder to head?

Is it my imagination or does Julianna Marguiles have an unusually large head in this picture?

[ Rum and Coke will do. Later, Carl Comming right up, tall glass on your left. Watchout for the umbrella spike, the bar tender is keen on them. Anyone else? Champagne for BJ Obsessed to celebrate that hug you got? ;DN
