I was listening to American Pie in the care this afternoon (with my five year-old singing along thank you very much!), and I thought of one of my favorite trivia questions. Did you know that Roberta Flack wrote Killing Me Softly after going to a Don McLean concert? She wrote it about his songs. I didn't know that. I don't know a lot about Don McLean or his music except that American Pie is my favorite song. I've read a few interpretation though of what the song is about.

My top five would be in a constant state of flux, but the one CD that will always be on my list is Delicate Sound of Thunder Pink Floyd. Add to that:
Classic Queen
Any U2 disc
Born to Fly - Sara Evans (thanks to Kenina)

Here goes, my current list of favorites. The rocker in me went to bed a long time ago - I have definitely mellowed over the years. But I can't pick just 5: (1) Sometimes I Dream - Mario Frangoulis (2) Garden of Dreams - Mario Frangoulis (3) Andrea - Andrea Bocelli (4) Cieli di Toscana - Andrea Bocelli (5) The Getaway - Chris DeBurgh (6) Quiet Revolution - Chris DeBurgh (7) Closer - Josh Groban Here's to my second singing "be still my beating heart" -Bocelli! Here's my list: #1 is every REM album INXS- Kick I LOVE REM!!!!! And INXS is among my favorites too. I would think my tastes would have mellowed out a little by now, but I still like the same stuff I did a long time ago.

It is rock. It sounds a lot like 80's music. Go to itunes and listen to Mr. Brightside or All These Things That I Have Done. I love every song on the album.

Okay, I'll take a stab at this... Now you know what the first two are gonna be!
1 Josh Groban (Josh Groban) 2 Closer (Josh Groban) 3 In Between Dreams (Jack Johnson) 4 Born in a Flame (Sam Roberts Band) 5.... hmm... probably a compilation disk of a whole bunch of other faves... too many to name them all!
