It seems people are always saying such interesting things in the "Person Below Me" thread and we are a bit limited in our ability to talk about some of that stuff because of the structure of the game so...here is a free-for-all thread for anyone who sees something of interest in that game and wishes to comment or elaborate. I'll start by saying that Eyphur cracked me up today posting about yodeling. That seemed to come out of nowhere! Just the thought of yodeling makes me giggle a little so thanks for the fun today! And this also made me smile. In response to at one point having thought actors did all their own stunts, Mags posted this: True. Sigh. I did, but only when I was a kid. I'm very relieved that you outgrew it! There's tons more in that thread I have wanted to comment upon at one point or another, but that's all for now. There's no such thing as hijacking in this thread. I think it's fun to have at least one place with no particular topic so go ahead and feel free to let the conversation flow.

True. I can type about 76 words per minute. I honed my skills as an executive secretary. That is impressive! I took the usual typing courses in high school, back before they had handy computer programs to teach you to type perfectly. I never really got all the numbers and punctuation down without needing to pause, but I was tested at a temp agency when I was about nineteen and I was at 51 words per minute. A couple of years later I was somehow at 65 wpm and I thought that was good enough--especially since I didn't know why I was suddenly faster. During my first year of interpreting, I interpreted a typing class. Basically, all there was to do was to tell the Deaf person when to stop and when to start and and she just worked through a computerized course on her own. I was bored so I did the course too and before I knew what was happening, I was at 95 wpm! It was crazy how fast I was going. I don't think I'm quite at that point anymore, but I still get going pretty good when I want to. I still have to pause a bit over the numbers, but it's amazing what a little refresher typing course can do for your speed (if that's at all important to you).
