LATEST SCAM -- BE ON YOUR TOES Police say that the gang usually is comprised of four members, one adult and three younger ones. While the three younger ones, all appearing sweet and innocent, divert their 'mark' (or intended target) with a show of friendliness, the fourth -- the eldest -- sneaks in from behind the person's back to expertly rifle through his or her pocket or purse for any valuables. Be on the alert!! Scroll down to see a photo from a recent attack that was captured on film..

About a year ago I posted a picture of the new born Danish princess and Chocky asked me about how difficult it is to learn Danish. She's half Australian though! By the way Chris, we saw Mary on the news with the new baby and she was speaking Danish (Mary was, not the baby!). Does she speak Danish well? I've heard it's a very hard language to learn. Heh!!! I was wondering if one of you would remind us that Mary is Australian ;D Yes, Mary's Danish is pretty good and she learned pretty fast. She is not yet fluent and she has an English accent but she's working on it and I'm sure she will be fluent soon. I've heard that it's a very hard language to learn as well. The bad joke about that is: No, it's not that hard, even children can learn But the pronunciation often represents a problem as does the grammar. We have certain rules of grammar like in any language but there is a ton of exceptions that makes it really hard to figure out when to use a certain rule and when there would be an exception. - Chris I said that even children can learn Danish. Apparently that's not true so I guess I owe you an apology. I read an article the other day about a study on how fast babies learn to speak. At the age of 15 months a Danish child have a vocabulary of about 80 words whereas a Swedish child knows 130 and a child from Croatia is far ahead with 200 words. Luckily Danish children catch up within a two year period so there's nothing to worry about, very reassuring!! But I stand corrected, not even babies can learn. Take care and keep smiling - Chris

The pick pocket one is cute and the dog/cat story is very special and touching. It's amazing how some animals just take care of others in the most unusual ways.

I found this picture from reuters... It seems that this lovable puppy enjoys being with a squirrel that his owner has rescued and is nursing back to health. Aren't they cute?

Awww, they are cute. And oddly, they seem to share the same shape and color of eyes too.

What are they going to do if he lets the squirrel go?? Too cute.
My sister found a squirrel in the fall once when she was a kid. We had to keep it all winter because by the time it was old enough, it would have had no food. We were going to let it go in the spring but it had never been outside and was terrified of the wind! She had it as a pet for quite a few years. He was cute and never hurt anyone. He used to run up and down my mom's curtains and empty kleenx boxes because he built a nest out of the kleenx in the corners of the rooms.

Thanks for posting that, Chris! Some of those are really funny. If my computer had a hole in it, I could see Harley eating my megahertz--however you spell it--he's so nosey and loves small spaces.
