Yay! Well, you already know what I think of this installment. You are so beautifully capturing the magic of what made Jim and Christie fall in love. Your descriptions are gorgeous and I can really see it all happening as I read. Thank you for offering us another glimpse of backstory and do keep them coming (please).

This is the best chapter yet. Truly inspired to use that Moon River scene for the night he proposed. Of course that would stick in his mind. Ahhhh. Really perfect the way it happened. You are doing us all a wonderful service by giving us this prelude to the characters we learned to love.

Wow Lori, you never cease to amaze me with your writing. This chapter was exceptional. Starting with the speed bag (sigh......55 punches), I especially loved how you let us know that as a boxer he was so familiar with the speed bag and its reaction, that he could "do it with his eyes closed" thus helping us to fully understand him stopping to hit that bag in episode 13. And using so many of the lines from the series, allows us to actually hear the characters saying the words. "Let me talk" and "That's nice". So clever on your part. And , of course, the Moon River reflection being the night he proposed! I will never watch that scene now without thinking of your story. Oh I can't wait for more. "How'd we get so lucky?"
