I've just posted my latest effort, "A Walk in the Park," in the Fan Fiction section. It takes place two weeks after Jim comes home from the hospital. Jim and Christie take a walk in the park, and they (especially Christie) have a very bad day. Feedback is always welcome. Many thanks, shmeep, for your continuing encouragement. I've also posted it at ff.net: www.fanfiction.net/s/2651394/1/

Now that's the Jim we've never seen; the one who hasn't regained his independence and who doesn't know what to do with himself. Very nicely done.

mlm, that was one terrific read! Sharp, short dialogue, and you really captured the ignorance of public reaction toward anyone with an obvious "difference." Well, you know how I love Angsty Jim. Now you have to give us the transition, get him off the bed, out of the house, and into independence training . . . ! Thanks!!!

I am so glad to finally be able to access the board again so I can leave feedback for another really terrific effort. The view of Jim you have portrayed with this one is so well written. Of course there would have been times when he would have been so unsure of where he was going or how he was going to get there. And Christie's reaction to how the world now views her husband is another dimension that hasn't been touched yet. I love that you have tackled it - and tackled it well!
