Cute story Natasha. I especially liked the line about them having beer for lunch if it wasn't for Karen. and Marty waving roast beef in front of Hank. He just can't help torturing the Dunbar men.

Another lovely short story. Thank you for sharing. You helped brighten up my weekend (which, given the leaden cloud, the rain and the wind really did need brightening!) Krissie

I really like this. I wondered how many years in the future this is set, what with Hank getting arthritis and all.

Thanks guys for your reviews. Krissie, I'm glad it brightened a rainy day! That's ace. Anna, this story takes place mid 2007 which is about 3.5 years after Jim's injury and about 2.5 years since he joined the 8th. German Shepards tend to get arthritus and perhps Hank's is a little early. But, hey bad things sometimes happen to good dogs. Stay tuned for another "Hank as star" fic Anita and I are working on.

I agree Poor Marty, chasing his dog around the house and having to ask Dunbar for help I love that they are more comfortable wth each other but still being true to who they are. Love it!! Take care and keep smiling - Chris

Cute story. I can totally relate to Marty and his troubles with Fang. It is amazing how they can tuck a pill into their jaw and later you find it on the floor after patting yourself on the back for being so successful!
Also, I believe that German Shepards are prone to hip displasia ( spelling is probably wrong!) and that is why they tend more towards Labs and other breeds for service dogs.
