I have waited a long time to post my one little story on this board. The reason is because I have not been writing very long and tend to not feel very good about my writing skills. Plus I have such huge admiration for so many people on this board. I have been scared because I tend to compare myself with the brilliant writers associated with this awesome board. I really hope you will still enjoy it. This is a very big step for me. I just want you to know that when I wrote this I double spaced but when I posted it, it came out single spaced. Any suggestions on how to improve the post? ...Lindy

No reason to be scared, your story is GREAT!!! I particularly liked the first chapter of Jim's thoughts while he was lost in Hoboken. I could easily imagine him thinking like that, his angst and frustration almost overwhelming, and yet he still managed to stay cool and find a way to cope with this situation until he somehow would find his way back to familiar territory. Karma to you for a great first story Take care and keep smiling - Chris

Lindy! I'm sorry it's taken me so long to respond, but Life (with a capital L) has kept my board time to a minimum these days. So I am finally responding to say that I applaud your fic, and brava! for writing it and posting it. As Chris said, no need to be afraid -- your story was GREAT! As for your formatting woes, just know that the fic threads are the same as the other threads on this board in that they are single and not double spaced. If you work in Microsoft Word and then import your file, just work in single spaced, Flush Left, with an extra carriage return where you want to make a paragraph break. If you want to "clean up" what you've posted, just hit Modify Post and add in the extra carriage returns. And keep writing that good fic, please. You gave us a wonderful glimpse into the motivations and emotions behind one of our favorite episodes. As our Aussie friends say, "Good on ya!"
