New chapter of Weekend in the Country just posted: www.fanfiction.net/s/2426606/4/I also re-posted an edited Chapter 3 - shmeep kindly pointed out that I'd written Ch 3 in third person after writing the first two in first person. Duh. Enjoy and remember, I love feedback.

I left this feedback on Shades of Blue, but thought I'd post it here too:
Another excellent chapter - flows so easily. The character interaction is wonderfully written and I love how you have placed Jim and Christie in a more-relaxed environment, which allows reflection by both of them to the ins and outs of their changed lives.
There is an easy feel to this chapter and yet there is still that hint of underlying tension too. One of these chapters it's going to have to be resolved!
Keep it coming - it's wonderful.

I am really enjoying this continuing story, especially the way you've developed Jim and Christie's relationship beyond what we saw in the series. I love the way Christie stands up to her dad in chapter 4. Looking forward to chapter 5!

I've said it all along. This "weekend" is really intriguing and I'm still very anxious to see where it's all going and what will happen between Jim and Christie's dad (scary man!). There's just the right amount of awkwardness between Jim and Christie's family without it being overdone and we get to see Jim being a really good sport in the face of some pretty harsh treatment. Thank you, Kenina, for continuing the story for us. No pressure, but I look forward to more!

I've created a music video based on the episode "Up On the Roof." This is the first of 13 videos that I plan to make for each of the Blind Justice episodes. This one is set to Sarah McLachlan's "Fallen." You can find it at www.ron-eldard.com/fan-tastic.htmPlease let me know what you think. Also, I'm still looking for song suggestions for the pilot, In Your Face, Doggone, and Dance With Me. (I've thought about "Eye of the Tiger" for the pilot, but not sure if that's the one.)

Making one for each episode is a great idea.

Kenina, I just love all your videos and especially Up on the Roof. It is excellent. You said you were still looking for music and everytime I listen to Josh (Myra's favorite) Groban and hear his " you're still you" I think of Jim and Christie. Just a thought you might like to check it out. Some of the lyrics: " Through the darkness, I can see your light, and you will always shine and I can feel your heart in mine Your face I've memorized, I idolize just you After all you're still you You walk past me, I can feel your pain Time changes everything one truth always stays the same, you're still you. I believe in you, and what life put you through and in this cruel and lonely world, I found one love," Can't remember too much more of it, but really beautiful music.

Making one for each episode is a great idea. Thanks for the feedback, shmeep. This is a very ambitious project, so it's good motivation to hear that people are enjoying them! I got the idea from sport57, just emailing back and forth with her. And she -- and you! -- have helped me a lot thinking about how to make these vids and what songs to pair with each episode. So it's definitely a team effort.

Thanks for the compliment -- much appreciated. I really like how UotR turned out, so I'm glad you enjoyed it, too. And I'm definitely keeping "You're Still You" in mind for a Jim/Christie video -- but it'll be a while before I get back to doing those! I really do think the lyrics would be wonderful for those two. I'm a big Jim/Christie shipper and I try to express in my videos why I loved the portrayal of their relationship. It was really what hooked me on the show - that dinner party scene in FFU and then when she leaves and returns at the end of the episode. To continue on this tangent, I watched Fancy Footwork tonight and the expression on their faces and the kiss at the very end was just so loving and hopeful. Despite both of their failings, they were committed to each other and I love that. How refreshing.

I don't think Longlashes has posted it here yet, but she has a new video over at ron-eldard.com. It is called "Hands" and it is ABSOLUTELY wonderful! Lori, you are amazing!

I absolutely love "Hands." I love the scenes you picked for the song. It expresses it so well. Your videos just keep getting better and better, if that possible. They're all so good. Keep them coming!

I ABSOLUTELY agree with Kathy and Bjobsessed, what more can I say. It is amazing how many beautiful shots we have of Jim's hands in the series. Touch becomes such an important sense to someone who has lost their sight. You captured this so well in your video and the words are so meaningful. Again it is a song I had not heard before and it is wonderful. Thanks again Lori.
