This is the longest video I have attempted thus far, and also one of the most difficult, because there are so many angles to this story and so many ways to tell it. House of Sand and Fog is a dark, complex movie and I hope I have managed to do it and its story line some semblance of justice here. The video is available temporarily at the following link: s54.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0HK30H54MLQAW1SCK1MQYLXJ97Please let me know what you think - your feedback, especially on this one, would be so greatly appreciated.

Lori - Please bear in mind it is very early in the morning and I have only watched it once ... First of all, I look forward to your videos almost as much to see what music you have chosen and again, you have come up with a perfect song for this one. Also your use of audio in this one was terrific, as well as the end where you virtually omitted the audio as the tempo of the music picked up. (at least that's the way I remember it) HoS&F is probably my favorite RE movie, inspite its overall depressing theme. I think it showcases his dramatic abilities best. (Mystery Alaska is my favorite comedy for him) And I was glad that you have done it such justice. Hope I am making sense. Just keep them coming!

Wow, Lori, that is so well done. I too, love all the audio in it. I have only seen that movie once and it was way back when I was watching B/J so really have to watch it again. But you certainly captured the essence of this dramatic piece with Ron. Sometimes I wonder with all the quirky things Ron has done, how Stephen Bochco knew he was the one for B/J, but this movie certainly showed what a truely amazing dramatic actor he is. Your music choice was just perfect for this dark themed movie. His expressions are wonderful and you captured so many of them. Perfect as usual. Thank you for all your hard work. Karma to you.

I remain impressed as always. There is definitely more audio in this one than there has been in others, but I think it is very well place and adds to the overall effect of the video. With all the themes running through the movie, it would be easy to lose what was happening without it. The words you allowed to come through were perfect for what was going on.
The music fits the movie too. It's kind of a sad sounding song and I always thought the story was great but sad. It was one of Ron's more normal movies in which I thoroughly enjoyed watcing him. You showcased his dramatic ability very well.
Hope I'm making sense. I'm on my way to work so this was done in a hurry. My hat's off to you for attempting such a challenging one. You did a great job. The wait was worth it. Can't wait for the next one.

First, please let me say thank you to Kenina - I learned something new this weekend that enabled me to keep some of the dialogue - I thought it so important to the interpretation factor! And now, WOW! Thank you for always being so supportive of the videos (and the karma!!) but I especially appreciate the feedback on this one; because, more so than any other, this was a challenge; I wasn't so sure when I started that it was even going to work. As to the song, I only heard it once but I pictured the fog rolling in and that was that!
