I read that RE was in the 1988 horror flick Maniac Cop, so - of course - I have ordered it so I can check it out. He is not listed in the credits, so it must be a bit part, perhaps with no lines. In the meantime, I did an image search and found this. So, what do you think? Is it our boy? It sure looks like him. He would have been 23 at the time.

You're right Anna. I'm keen to hear what you find when you get your flick. What on earth were you reading to uncover this?

He really does die in a lot of his roles, doesn't he? I particularly like the symmetrical lines of blood running from his nostrils down either side of his face. Nice touch.

It is him, however I don't see him credited on IMDb; but I've seen this before, that's how I know.
And he was 23.

He really does die in a lot of his roles, doesn't he? And he's a cop in so many of his roles too. Someone who is a bigger fan than me would have to complete this, but as far as I know: Blind Justice Bakersfield PD Scent of a Woman Maniac Cop and, from the title, but I've never seen: Arresting Behaviour?

House of Sand and Fog And when not a cop, he's still often in uniform When Trumpets Fade ER Deep Impact Delivered (pizza boy uniform) Mystery Alaska (Hocky uniform)

The movie arrived yesterday. If anyone is interested in seeing more of RE in it, don't bother. The pic that I posted is his entire scene - at least that's the only one in which you can see his face and know it's him. I can't imagine anything that I could say that would "spoil" this movie for anyone . Nevertheless, avert your eyes if you don't want to read the spoilers. A very unhappy person dressed as a police officer - the eponymous villain of our story - is wandering around the city murdering people. When a frightened female motorist's car stalls in a deserted industrial area (since, as we know, most people do drive alone through deserted industrial areas when there is a rampaging killer on the loose), a police car pulls up behind her. We see an officer get out of his car and walk up to hers, but neither we nor the motorist can see his face. When he gets to her window, you hear a muffled voice, but you cannot tell if it is RE's. The terrified woman says something like, "You're not going to get me," pulls out her gun, and shoots him. You see the officer blown off his feet by the impact of the bullet and then land on his back. Then it cuts to RE's face. Next, the detective in charge of the investigation and the Police Commissioner (played by Richard Roundtree) are seen lamenting the fact that it will be open season on the police, with anyone holding a grudge given the perfect excuse to kill. I assume that RE was chosen for the "role" because you were supposed to be horrified by the mistake that the woman had made. Blond, blue-eyed, 23-year-old Ron - who obviously could not be the maniac cop, heaven forbid! - had the ideal face for that.
