Jim ++ for agreeing to go to dance class after that horrendous day of the missing gun. That took courage.
Christie-- For not giving him a bye that night. He needed to just stay home and relax.
Luitenant Gary Fisk-- For asking Jim to explain why he was leaving. It's not like he was cutting out early or anything and he had put in a lot of overtime.

-- Lieutenant Gary Fisk - "I'm not going to have to remind you that you are going to want to conduct this investigation respectfully am I?" Where the hell did that come from? ++ Jim Dunbar -- "I got good ears....I heard that clear as a bell." Finally a case that may be solved by something other than his sense of smell. In case it hasn't already been pointed out, he has a good nose too! -- Marty Russo - It looks like he could definitely benefit from a trip or two (perhaps more!) to that chair in Galloway's office. "Would it kill you Jim....." No, Marty, but it looks like you might!Detective Jim Dunbar - 65 Detective Karen Bettancourt - 37 Detective Tom Selway - 19 Lieutenant Gary Fisk - 15 Dr. Alan Galloway - 15 Chief Tunney - 15 Artie Steckle - 13 Sonny Famigletti-13 Walter Clark - 11 Detective Marty Russo - 9 Christie Dunbar - 7 Nick Dyson-5 Detective Terry Jansen - 3

++Lieutenant Gary Fisk for not suggesting that perhaps the visit to The Le Sabre would be better handled by Jim and Karen - you know, let's stay focused on the business at hand - not focused on their business, if you know what I mean! "Sure you don't want some ones?"-- Detective Karen Bettancourt - Is that honking silver ring on your finger the feminine version of brass knuckles? (It's a little big and gawdy for your petite little hands?) If I were a guy, it might actually scare me! ++ Walter Clark for calling em like he sees em - dirt bag Doyle - and giving us another one of those moments that is truly memorable - You're absolutely right! Again, from "Up on the Roof," and I can't believe I'm about to do this . . .
Detective Terry Jansen + + (For actually showing up at the river, knowing full well in his cowardly heart of hearts that this was probably going to be about more than testing his jacket for powder burns.)
Detective Jim Dunbar + + (Simply put, for doing the right thing.)
Detective Karen Bettancourt + + (For "getting it" in a heartbeat, as witness the look on her face when Jim spreads opens Terry's handkerchief.)

Wow, it doesn't take long to fall behind in these games - so I had some making up to do for lost time! Number three for today! ++ Jim Dunbar for recognizing that he was mentally spent and making the right decision. The old Dunbar may have said yeah to the invite for a beer with the "guys", the new Dunbar said "Nah, I just want to go home." ++ Christie Dunbar for finally (it's been too long!) having the urge - I know it was only once - but still, it gave us a very memorable beginning to an episode and led us to the promise of one of those moments - Damn Cell Phones! -- Marty Russo for starting out being the the thorn in Jim's side, a real condescending smartass and for always "talking the same old bull!" Jim ++ "I'm not the same person from back then." He's trying. Christie ++ "Well maybe I am and I feel hurt and humiliated and betrayed. And I've been sitting on all of that for so long because you got shot. You're back on the job. You're partnered up and you're fine and I'm not!" Good job for being honest. Marty -- When Tom says that Jim is on his way up, Marty says "You didn't offer to give him a piggy back ride?" The day hasn't even started yet.

Detective Karen Bettancourt ++ for "Where do you think he's been for the past year, following Jimmy Buffet around the country?" Detective Jim Dunbar -- for leaving Hank in the car (hey, he's not perfect; we gotta ding him for something once in a while!) Detective Marty Russo ++ for saying things Jim needs to hear, even if he doesn't want to hear them (I can't believe Terry and Nick have more points than Marty, at least until I played!)

Detective James Dunbar++"thats what I gotta be to past the test, right", admitting to Galloway that he does feel like he has to be a supercop Detective Karen Bettencourt++being the cimsumate practioner of the exasperated eyeroll Sonny Famigletti--"the old Dunbar would have pulled his gun and it would have been like the OK corral", giving us that little tidbit about Jim's past and then not being able to see anything

-- Sonny Famigletti for a bad case fickles - "What, in the last year you couldn't pick up the phone and call me" to "Dunbar, I'm really sorry about what happened to you, I feel bad about that...." but only after he'd been welcomed back into the fold. -- Detective Terry Jansen for having the gall to actually enjoy the "flower shop" in his living room from a "lot of well wishers" and not have any guilt whatsoever - how did this man live with himself? ++ Detective Marty Russo -- it's not that you always knew when to say something, but you did seem to know that something needed to be said. "You'd be a better cop without it, and we'd be a better squad without it. That's it, I've said my piece." Christie ++ for coming home from her meeting when she found out that Hank was missing Sonny -- for only thinking about himself during the first meeting with Dunbar Terry -- for blaming his shooting on an innocent guy. What made you think you could get away with it? You're a dectective. You should know better.
