At least it sounds hopeful with "correct release date". I even clicked on the picture and the date there was in October! Here's hoping

Ok guys. Here is what fans of Miracles did to get their show released on dvd. They used email or phone calls for the most part, but since no one can agree on who owns the dvd rights to Blind Justice, I was just going to fax this to Bocho and beg him to tell me if I should send it somewhere else.
Heading of fax/letter--Request for dvd release--Blind Justice 2005 TV Series 1. Name 2. City, Country 3. Postal/Zip Code 4. Why you want Blind Justice to be released on dvd. Include information such as personal significance of the show, program quality, artistry--whatever you most loved about Blind Justice. (This shouldn't be too hard for anybody.)
Also, Pass this information along to friends, other family members, co-workers, etc.
They also posted flyers with all the above information. I'm quite willing to make a flyer available to everyone. I made one for the petition and hung it up all over town. Some people actually tore strips off the bottom so it does work a bit anyway.
Come on guys. Let's get going! I'm going to fax my letter sometime this weekend.

My sister works in a video store and saw where a fav show of hers, Magnificent 7, the TV show not the movie, is coming out in December. I looked on the tvshowsondvd site and saw that its true and there are only 9 episodes to this show!!! It was a summer filler a few years ago. So they do do shows that only lasted a few eps!!! Surely we can get BJ out soon! Thanks for the info bjobssesed!

Soooo--another reason why we should be able to get BJ released if we work at it. Also, people are still voicing their opinions on the petition. It's up to 3811. Surely that would count for something if we knew where to send it.

If you read further down: It says "it is a temp date."
An actual date will be posted when/(if) they are released.
I left a "send me an email" when it is available.
If they do release it, I hope they keep the "Descriptive."
Later, Carl

I haven't checked Amazon for a while. This is what it says now regarding BJ. It doesn't sound too hopeful for the near future so maybe we need to start writing letters. I didn't because I was hoping along with everyone else. THIS TITLE IS CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE. If you would like to purchase this title, we recommend that you occasionally check this page to see if it has become available.

I was in Walmart today and noticed a dvd for the series Point Pleasant. I've never heard of it, but it was a three dvd set with all thirteen episodes including five unaired. I take that to mean that only eight were actually shown. I say that after Christmas, we need to start bugging someone about a Blind Justice dvd.

I wonder if an online petition to release Blind Justice would have an effect? The petition that (I think Longlashes?) set up seemed to have an effect, as people were still signing it long after the show was cancelled.
Then, it could be sent to the studio once we know it, or sent to all the major ones if we don't know it!
What does everyone think--are these noticed and taken seriously by anyone in "power"? It might show there is a demand. I would think a studio would release something if they thought there was a demand, but wouldn't if they thought no one was interested.

I don't see where it could hurt and it might actually help give them an idea that people are interested in getting it on DVD. Great idea! ;D

I agree that it couldn't hurt. Although my petition was sent to ABC television with absolutely no response from the Studio, I don't think that should be a reason to deter anyone from attempting it.
Earlier in December, after discussing this same subject on the Tuesday night chat, I started drafting a letter to Bocho to enclose my "Save Blind Justice" petition to see if it would garner any support for the release of our favorite show on DVD. Unfortunately with work, etc., I have been a little preoccupied - perhaps I'll see what I can pull together this weekend.
This petition is already 3,800+ signatures strong and has continued to garner interest long after the show's demise incuding some who mention that "their tapes are wearing out" but they would rather watch this show than anything else on television. If that doesn't speak for a DVD release......

LL--if you want or need any help, you know where to come. I'm sure I'm not the only one that made a resolution to bug someone about a dvd. I love the ones I have but it's not the same as real ones. No cc or audio description or extras. I would hope that the dvd would have all three.

The problem is not that we have a wealth of great material to send to those concerned . . . the problem is that we don't know WHO to send it to! Before we start pestering those in power -- and let this be our task for the New Year -- we need to know just who we pester. And I mean a name, too, not just a corporate entity. So. Let's recap. 1. Paramount says the show isn't theirs, even though it was on their website and Bochco produced it for Paramount Television, as witness the Paramount logo at the end of every episode and on the promotional DVDs. 2. Twentieth Century Fox -- with whom Bochco has an ongoing relationship -- won't claim the show as theirs, either. Got an email back saying it wasn't their show. 3. Disney/ABC? Does anyone have an answer from them? BOTTOM LINE? Someone get in touch with Bochco and find out who we bug. PLEASE!!!!!

If that doesn't speak for a DVD release...... I think it might be good to have another petition, just for a DVD release. There might be lots of people who are interested in keeping a show on the air, with new episodes, but may not love the show enough to want to buy a DVD of episodes they have already seen. We, obviously, are not among them! To me, and maybe to network execs, they are very different. Now, if we sent the one to keep it on the air AND one asking for a DVD release--I think that would be very powerful.
