I came across this the other day concerning BJ. At the end of some credits etc. it said "A Day in the Boch Co. L.L.C. author of property for all purposes of copyright and other laws. I haven't been able to find anything more about it, it just keeps refering me to Brocho Productions. Any ideas???

Uh oh--just searched amazon.com to check the record for Blind Justice, see if there was a date for the release again. I do it periodically.
The listing is no longer even there!!! This can't be good news.

Yes, the Blind Justice reference is gone, and it's not even cross-referenced under Ron Eldard. Maybe amazon updates -- i. e. pulls all listings with no activity -- on January 1st? So. I'm not great terribly adept at this kind of thing, but maybe someone can contact amazon's Customer Service? And I know I've said this until I'm blue in the face, but will someone on the West Coast -- or with free long distance cell minutes, which I do not have -- call Steven Bochco Productions and get the info we need? All this "what if" business is getting us nowhere! Once again: Steven Bochco Productions 10201 West Pico Boulevard Building 1 Los Angeles, CA 90035 Phone: 310-368-2400 FAX: 310-369-3236

Long ago, on the Shades board, Aldalindil posted about talking to Bochco's PA a couple of times and getting the name of the Bochco publicist. Does anyone know her well enough to contact her and see if she still has the names of the Bochco contacts? It might help to start out with a name to ask for, rather than just calling. . . well, I started to say "rather than just calling blind," but you know what I mean.

Today I had to run into a video store for my sister and happened to see the DVD for Bochco's Over There--yeah, its out already I looked on the back to see who was handling it and saw A Day in (on) the Boch LLC. I know I have tried and couldn't get any further than it was a part of Bochco Productions but evidently it must be the part of the company in charge of releases. If anyone else would like to give it a shot, go ahead. I will try again and see if anything comes up about it--like an address ,whatever.

I have been trying for almost a month now to get some information on that particular company. Interestingly enough, the old numbers that I had for Bocho are no longer in service, the fax number doesn't work, and I too have hit nothing but dead ends. But, I am not going to give up that easily. I have continued to make phone calls to L.A. (no luck with directory assistance, no luck with TwentiethCentury Fox), sending emails and I have written a letter to Bochco to see if there is anything to point us in the right direction.
If, as and when I hear anything back, manage to make contact with anyone or have an update of some sort, I will let you know.

Someone somewhere has to know something. Karma for your efforts!

How frustrating about Over There! If it's out already, maybe we have to face it--there are no plans to release BJ. Has anyone thought of doing Maggie's oft-repeated call to call Bochco Productions? Someone local to LA?

How frustrating about Over There! If it's out already, maybe we have to face it--there are no plans to release BJ. Has anyone thought of doing Maggie's oft-repeated call to call Bochco Productions? Someone local to LA? Over There was out on DVD last summer, as part of the new industry marketing strategy to release DVDs coinciding with airing, or theatrical release (I believe Diggers is being handled this way). So the fact that Over There is out there doesn't mean much where BJ is concerned. It hasn't even been a year since the show stopped airing, and sometimes stuff takes forever. Hill Street BLues only started coming out on DVD this year, but that had to do with Bochco trying to get the rights back, something like that. All by way of saying that there's no hard and fast rule to any of this. So, yeah, please, someone with free cell minutes, time during the day, or living where it would be a local call, call Steven Bochco Productions and ask if there are any plans to release it, and if not, who should we write/email? We really can't proceed until we know who to contact, right? ;D

It is on ebay and it's ending on 3/17 - here's the item number: 9112189381. I've just checked amazon.com and overstock.com and there's nothing there.

Unfortunately, the ones on eBay are bootlegs, not an official DVD release. tvshowsondvd.com has listings of future releases through June -- nothing so far.

Just thinking out loud here -- Blind Justice recently aired on HDNet and in Australia, and perhaps it will be shown in other countries as well. I wonder if this has any effect on its release on DVD -- although I'm not sure why showing the series in other countries would delay its release on DVD in the U.S. and Canada.
After looking through the lists of shows on DVD at tvshowsondvd.com, it looks as if almost everything comes out on DVD eventually. There are a lot of titles listed there I don't even recognize. So maybe there is hope.
Edited to add another random thought: Why would they (whoever "they" are) pass up the opportunity to make some more $ from the show?

Edited to add another random thought: Why would they (whoever "they" are) pass up the opportunity to make some more $ from the show? There are a few reasons I can think of. The cynic in me says they think that they won't make money--not enough people will buy it to make it financially viable. The realist in me says that not enough time has passed, that we are just being impatient because we love the show so much! The optimist in me says perhaps they are thinking about it and working on it right now! Perhaps they are working on deleted scenes, lining up cast for commentaries, etc. Let's keep positive!

I have sent a letter to Steven Bochco Productions, an email to F/X network based on the affiliation of A Day in the Boch, LLC with Over There and to Twentieth Century Fox. I haven't heard anything back from anyone.
From what I can gather on the petition, Blind Justice was also shown in Norway, Sweden and Korea to an adoring audience. But none of that should have any effect on its release here in the U.S. or Canada.
I have used my cell phone minutes to call L.A. from Virginia, hoping to find someone who could point me in the right direction - no luck yet as the numbers I had for Bochco have been disconnected. The Twentieth Century Fox site that also lists Bochco has also been taken out of service.
I continue on, ever hopeful that I will find something, somewhere. I will certainly let you know if I receive any sort of response from anyone.
