I mean yuck--did you see him at the Oscars? I don't really know him but looked him up at IMDB and I have to agree with Inuvik, yuck!!!! He looks a little creepy to me and I think he will make a scary Father Flynn. On the other hand, maybe it has to be someone scary to play against Meryl Streep as Sr. Aloysius, I think she is going to be quite intimidating - Chris

I looked him up too and he has a ton of credits so maybe it will be good. Looks aren't everything, but they certainly don't hurt. Besides, you know who I won't be able to help picturing in his place when we get to see it!

In that case you are doing better than me! I'd never even heard of the guy, and even after looking him up on IMDb, I'm not that much wiser. I think I've seen two of the films he's been in, and I couldn't even begin to remember his character in either. I was amazed at how many appearances this guy has made 'as himself', and in the UK, even... and I still don't know anything about him! What can I say? I clearly walk around in a state of blissful celebrity-related ignorance! Krissie P.S. Before anyone asks, yes, I have heard of Meryl Streep. Plus I can even name three films of the top of my head that she starred in and that I have actually seen.

"I don't really know him" as in, I 've heard the name when he was in Capote and I might have seen a few of the films he's been in, but certainly don't remember him in them. P.S. Before anyone asks, yes, I have heard of Meryl Streep. Plus I can even name three films of the top of my head that she starred in and that I have actually seen. Very reassuring Modified to add: This just occured to me, Meryl Streep being in Doubt makes it more likely to be released in Danish Theatres too ;D - Chris

I was just wondering how different the movie will be from the play. We might see a lot more backstory than in the play. I wonder if that will change the impact of it all. Sometimes movies don't improve the story very much.
