It's a shame about Demons but I'm still too sad from last night to really focus on it.
I went to bed with a headache from crying pretty much non-stop through the series finale! It was so moving! I still have a mild headache and kept waking up all throught the night.
I absolutely love Lorelai and Rory's relationship. That has always been the heart of the show and it resonates so strongly with my own mother and me. There were so many lines they said, that we have said to each other in the past, and we were amazed to find them on the show. I once asked mum if she had a second job writing for this show! It was uncanny. I will really miss this show.
As much as I enjoy the other American shows I watch (now just Monk and Prision Break), they are not the same as the great family dramas of Everwood and Gilmore Girls. I just can't get as emotionally involved with the characters and really care about what happens to them. They are so far removed from real life. I guess I should have watched Brothers and Sisters, but a whole season has gone by and I didn't. Maybe I just like single parent dramas! (E and GG's were).
So I'm hoping some network will be announcing another hour long, family oriented drama on their schedules (and that one of the Canadian affiliates picks it up!)

I only had a quick glance at the new TV Guide but evidently there is talk of a Gilmore Girls movie to be made for TV.
