Love your screencaps GB! Isn't it great to watch all the expressions in slow mo that you miss watching it normally? It blows me away sometimes when I see how much emotion is really in some of these scenes.

The screencaps are awesome! I agree with BJO, seeing them in slowmo and picking up all the nuances, the play of emotions. Guess thats why the Pilot is one of my favorite eps. I made note of a comment Jim made to Randy Lyman during his interrogation--his ''made me look bad" comment. I had heard it before but it made me think that Jim felt he was being made to look incompetent, pathetic and even ridiculous in front of his coworkers and while he could put up with a lot to keep his job, this was something he definitely could not stomach.

Two truly beautiful images from the Pilot are indelibly printed in my head. The first is of Jim standing on the train platform waiting for the train (screencap someone please??? - I can do it but I don't have time right now) and the other is of him sitting on the train stroking Hank's head. I'm not sure what it is about these two scenes - the obvious restrained tension or just simply the physical beauty of them but they're unforgettable to me.

I agree, so here they are: Look closely Mary, Kathy - you were THERE!!! Remember, I took you there to catch the F train at the York Street station out of Brooklyn Heights. You had a brush with greatness........

Wa-hoo! Nothing I love better than talking about The Pilot, which, now that several television seasons have come and gone, remains golden in my memory as arguably the crispest, most information-packed, beautifully written, directed, and acted 42 minute of screen time ever.

Such sweet memories - and this was not the ONLY brush with greatness that weekend. EVERY moment was fantastic from the F-train to the Dunbar's apartment, to the Brooklyn Bridge Park, to the Walter Kerr Theatre, to RE at the stage door, and so much more. Most of all sharing it with two great friends - I will never forget a moment of it! Thanks to you Barbara, and to Mary, RE, and this Board for bringing us all together.
