In the Survival Game I had a big - for Meg with her worrying when they could get Sylvia's body so they could bury her. Well Meg, you weren't smart like Joan Tuxhorn who got the body from the ME and then got him cremated because of some obscure burial practice the funeral director had never heard of because he wasn't "up on them all " or something to that effect! I guess a shotgun blast to the face is a pretty darn obvious cause of death unlike smothering masquerading as smoke inhilation! Good thing the ME checked those peepers!

In the scene where Jim and Christie decides to go ballroom dancing - or Christie does - when Jim say's "Fred Astaire, huh? Awesome" I am pretty sure I heard Jim say " Fred A-Scare" Which I thought was really funny, but I am not sure he really said that. So my question for you guys is, what did he say??? Am I imagining things or can you hear that too??? Happy New Year to you all - Chris

OK, I must be imagining things then. Too bad, I thought it was very funny and that it maybe was a nick-name for Fred Astaire that I just never heard of.

I have two guestions. One: It is quite strange to me that Jim closes his locker between two rows (maybe the 3th and the 4th) in this episode (and in UTG after) when I clearly remember that his locker in the first row from the door (in Seoul man for example). Is it another point of wiew or did he change locker? Or I am wrong Two: I feel sheepish because maybe it is silly question but this "Are you black?...I thought you were kinda groovy" is a joke, isn't it? Jim HAD to know that. If from not other sources Glen said to Tom in UOTR (It is your case... Black cops can easier handle black guys, or something like that) and Jim listened it while he filled Hanks'bowl and smiled. And that "My name is T. No, sounds like scottish" refers to it as well, doesn't it? And altough I can't discriminate it but Tom speaks a little "other" way, doesn't he? Please do not laugh too loud...

Or I am wrong You're absolutely right, the lockers does change places every now and again Two: I feel sheepish because maybe it is silly question but this "Are you black?...I thought you were kinda groovy" is a joke, isn't it? I for one is absolutely not laughing at you, and I don't think anyone else will, so don't worry It IS a joke, but because it is your birthday today, I will tell you a secret... (shhhh, make sure the others are not listening..... ) OK, here I go.... For a VERY long time I thought that it was not a joke, even if I couldn't understand why Jim didn't know that Tom was black.... And it took me a while to be convinced that it was a joke... Guess it shows good acting skills on Jim's part - or maybe I'm just as easily fooled as Tom is?? Take care and keep smiling - Chris

Please do not laugh too loud... Oh, Janna! There's no reason for anyone to laugh. You bring up two very good points. About the lockers...it's long been a joke around here that his locker seldom seemed to be in the same place twice. Either someone in production was being sloppy or the squad was playing tricks on the blind guy. Or maybe it was somehow the same place but the way it was shot gave us the impression it was being moved around. And about the joke about Tom being black...I can see how that might not translate when the show is--well--translated. Tom has a speech pattern that clearly identifies him as being black and Jim obviously knew all along but he's playing a joke on Tom at this point. Never be embarrassed to ask questions like these. You're getting the whole thing in a different language and you don't have the American background to understand all the cultural references either. I think your questions are very interesting and they make me think of things from a different perspective.
