Call this a highly unofficial poll, or maybe just rampant curiosity. How many times have you watched Blind Justice? I'll start. A lot of my re-watching has depended on the quality of my copies. I have a super-crisp promotional DVD of the first three (ooh, that eBay is a slippery slope), and, thanks to the kindness of board members, episodes four through nine on Tivo'd DVD. The last three I only have on VHS tape, so I admit I've watched them a mere two or three times at most -- it's a quality issue, and also because, as you all know, I am not exactly wild about all that sappy ballroom dancing (!). Plus I knew the show was ending so the last two episodes just made me sad, and still do. Last summer I deliberately made the decision to not over-watch Blind Justice, so I could keep the show fresh and new for as long as possible. And I'm happy with my decision, in that when I do watch I invariably catch something I hadn't noticed before. When I watch now I savour, and it's a guilty pleasure. The first half of the series -- The Pilot through "Seoul Man" -- were so strongly imprinted on me from the first one or two viewings that I can pull them up in my mental hard-drive at will. When I'm dancing around in the analysis threads, I find I can work off what what has been said, any screencaps posted, and occasionally checking the recaps. A few weeks back when Kyt and I were going around all the corners in the "A New Take on the Pilot" thread, I did check several scenes again -- the shootout at the bank and Jim and Terry's confrontation in the break room -- but that was the first time I'd popped in the DVD in months. My unofficial tally? I've watched The Pilot and "Up on the Roof" an estimated seven times. "Marlon's Brando" (my third favorite) probably six times, "Doggone" five. Everything else, save the last three episodes, three or four times, tops. Of course, this would be an entirely different story if I had a TV in the room in which I work . . . and it's probably just as well that I don't. ;D That being said, I have, while I was working on illustration jobs, listened with great pleasure to several of the audio description CDs given to me by a kindhearted, generous, and cheerfully "obsessed" board member. C'mon. Fess up. You're among friends.

Good heavens! I probably watched each episode six or seven times the first week it aired! I rarely watch an episode now. Watching FF last weekend the first time in while. Excuse me. I have to go search desperately for a life now.

Not too much. I have watched each episode two times! Read on to know how I can be so exact....
It's interesting to read how Maggie watches them. When I do decide to watch, I will go through the whole cycle of 13 episodes, in order. Although I have my favorites (Doggone), I like the whole self- contained arc of the series and I find them more meaningful that way. Like Maggie, I also only had them on VHS until recently and was worried about conservation too.
I hope to watch them again this summer, starting soon, now that reruns are on. The only show still showing new episodes that I watch is Everwood, and I think that is done in just 2 more weeks.

I limit myself to one a week, usually on Tuesday so I can get my BJ 'fix' So far, I have watched them in order but I have probably seen the Pilot more than any of the other shows and Fancy Footwork the least. That one I have compliments of a nice lady from CA since it was pre-empted here. All the eps are on video tape and I live in the constant fear that something will happen to one of them.

I started posting and then was interrupted by the phone. I'm going to be in the minority here and seem even more obsessed.
I've probably watched most of the episodes 15-20 times. The Pilot and Doggone are my two favourites. You'd think they'd get old after watching them that many times, but they don't. I love them just as much now as I did the first time I saw them--maybe even more after all the discussion we've had about them.
I have watched them looking for reasons to post in the Survival games. Even after all this time, I notice little things. Sometimes they have absolutely nothing to do with the story. For example, Marty has a baseball bobble head on his desk in at least one episode. (I don't know which one.) I've watched 5 or 6 of them in one day several times and I watched 12 in one day once--before I had 13 so that was quite a while ago.
I've listened to all the audio versions twice and the Pilot and Doggone about four times since those are the eps I took on the plane with me in March when going to NY. They helped a lot in distracting me in my fear of flying.
I also have a box set from China of the first 12 eps with Chinese and English subtitles, and a few different promo dvd's of the first three. The most recent one is an emmy dvd that was sent around to be considered for an award. (It has only the Pilot). It has completely different music than the version shown on tv. The music they went with is soooo much better than what is on this dvd.
Now that I've admitted I'm totally looney and need a life more than anyone, I'll let someone else talk.

Hmmmm . . . this is just as interesting as I hoped it would be, and maybe an unofficial plea from those who only have tapes that are wearing out? On reflection, I must add that there are certain scenes that I have watched more than others, so I have to adjust my tally. When I'm running "The Pilot," I'll watch the end of the episode from the scene in Lyman's kitchen onward twice over; love, love, love the Lyman interrogation and the ending with Jim and Karen on the street still does it to me every time. In "Up on the Roof" I confess I buzz through Marty and Tom's interrogation of DeShaun Oliver, but I've watched Jim and Terry by the river probably ten or twelve times. Same profile with "Marlon's Brando" -- I fast forward through Jim and Tom's scene with Leonard Mattus because I much prefer the "Bring a parka upstate" scene. And for me "Marlon's Brando" is all about the relevatory climax in Galloway's office, which I've watched more often than the rest of the episode. I thought this thread needed a screencap, and ain't that a classic. Sigh. Same thing with "Seoul Man." I always dash through the Dorsey chase -- which goes on longer than it needs to -- to get to the locker room. Yeah, I'll admit it. For me, the show was all about Dunbar and Ron Eldard. So shoot me.

I'm not sure of how many times I've seen every episode or even any particular episode but most of them I've seen a lot. I would estimate that I've seen some episodes 40+ times. I know that number seems extreme but I find watching the same thing repeatedly, comforting. I also have trouble falling asleep so I've spent several nights watching episodes until the wee hours of the morning and on a few occasions until dawn. I watched at least a couple of episodes every weekend that I was home pretty much from the time I first saw Four Feet Under over spring break until the following February, when I found a new TV show obsession. I never took my tapes to school with me because I'm afraid of then being, broken or lost, so the only episode I ever watched at school was the Pilot because it's on my computer. The main reason I haven't watched any episodes lately is that my DVD player is out of commission (and Fancy Footwork is the only episode I have on DVD anyway) and my VCR is now making funky noises so I'm hesitant to play an irreplaceable tape in it. I'm planning to replace both units soon, and get back to indulging in the occasional Blind Justice episode.
If this thread is meant to be a subtle plea, conceder this mine.

I think I'm closest in numbers to bjobsessed. Probably seen most of the eppies 15-20 times, some less, some more. Like E, I find watching some things over and over comforting. And I have a terrible memory, so only watching once or twice would mean I'd completely forget in about a week most of what I'd seen. I work evenings, and don't get to watch Prime Time, so BJ fills that tv void. Most of my watching was right after I got the videos of the entire season, last July, even though the sound and picture didn't match on half of them ;D That takes dedication! But now that that's all fixed, I'd say I've seen most of them three or four times this year. Survival Game was part culprit, as was writing. Bjobsessed, the bobble-head is actually on Tom's desk (he even plays with it in one of the later eppies). I have no idea what team, but it looks like a baseball uniform. The ones I didn't care so much for at first, FFU, esp, have since grown on me in little ways. I got one disc of 1, 2, 3 from ebay last year, but it didn't work on anything except my sister's dvd player (and I'm only there dog-sitting once a year for three days, which oddly enough, happened to be the day I received that disc and watched it two or three times while the pup snoozed...). It wasn't until months after I started coming here that I even found out I was missing about five minutes of Doggone! (Much, much thanks to Kenina for remedying that!) --GB

I have watch most episodes probably 30-40 times, some like Doggone probably more. Like BJO, I can be a little obsessive. Also, like Eyphur, when I have trouble sleeping I will watch episode after episode until I finally fall asleep. My DH is used to my obsessiveness, but seeing as I get home from work before him, even he is getting fed up with seeing BJ playing every time he gets home.
I never tire of watching, as there is always something new to see, more so with the Pilot as I only received that a couple of weeks ago.

I am probably somewhere between the 20 - 40 times for some episodes, namely the Pilot, Up On the Roof, Seoul Man and Doggone. Making videos definitely gives me cause to see some parts more than others - I am quite sure I have seen parts of some episodes at least 75 times or more. Surprisingly, I have never tired of any of it. Favorite scenes - far too many to mention. Suffice it to say, a year and all those viewings later, I am still so enamoured with the depth of Blind Justice, the intertwining of lives and relationships. Ron Eldard was what drew me to the show in the first place and he didn't disappoint - but nothing about Blind Justice disappointed - there were so many reasons to stay. There has never been, nor in my mind will there ever be, anything to equal it.

I absolutely have no idea how many times I have watched the episodes. I also try to watch them in sequence. I wish I could say that it was to follow the progression of the characters, etc. Actually, if I don't do it that way, I just can't decide which episode to watch next! I have watched the Pilot, Doggone, and Fancy Footwork the most. And another confession - I stop Fancy Footwork as soon as the dancing starts. Otherwise it is a fantastic episode. I just never got into the dancing either. Doggone is my favorite for two reasons: It is the first episode I saw and the second is this-

Oh god, I do not even know how many times I have watched but it is amazing that I have not worn out the dvd's yet. I keep them in the dvd player so I just have to click click to get into an episode. I know that last summer a day hardly went by that I didn't watch. Now maybe after 3-4 days , I need a little B/J fix. I must thank the Ebay guy for the first 7, and Kyt for the last one and Anita for all those in between and the audios which I occasionally listen to in my car.. (I would bet almost everyone on the board has been supplied by Anita is some way, she is our drug dealer, keeping us supplied. Thanks Anita). And a big thank you to Lori and Kenina for all those great videos. I have all on my computer and many times just pull one up to get a quick look at our Handsome Homicide Detective. I think my favorite one is Room in This heart. And here is a pic of my favorite scene:
