I expressed my fondness for the "Eldard lip bite" more than once on the other board. This morning while I was watching Dance With Me I noticed it during the Chinese food scene. The "Absolutely" thread got me thinking, does he bite his lip in every episode? One more thing to be on the lookout for.

Don't know if there's The Lip Bite in every episode, but I'd almost be willing to bet he cracks his neck in every episode. The Eldard Neck Crack?

I didn't notice the neck crack until later in the series, and then they started spicing it up with sound effects. Once it was really loud and even though I crack my neck, it's never been that LOUD! I think if they had the chance to do it again, they should use a crack of thunder when he does the crack. Blooper reel anyone?

I think he cracks his neck in "In Your Face," after Christie gets on his case about Boston and the Karen/Nick fiasco, but we don't hear it on that occasion.

There are several lip bites in "Doggone": at the water cooler after he returns from Hoboken, after a call to Animal Control looking for Hank, and at home talking with Christie (after she says she can't compete for his attention any more).

I think he cracks his neck in "In Your Face," after Christie gets on his case about Boston and the Karen/Nick fiasco, but we don't hear it on that occasion. Gotta check this one again (Oh, like I need an excuse to rewatch an episode). I seem to remember him letting the old neck go in the scene where he's feeding his money into the machine at the counter and Christie comes home and lays into about about how he (mis)handled the Karen/Nick thing. He's just so damned miserable, pulling on his beer, that it does make you laugh. Sort of a "Sheeeesh, can this day get any worse?" At least one neck crack, I'm thinkin'. By the way, Christie headed for bed that night with "The Da Vinci Code" right away, so I'm guessing that beer was all he got for dinner. Maybe some of Hank's chicken scraps from the container in the fridge . . . ?

I received the "Bakersfield P.D." DVD today and watched the first several episodes. What did I see but the Eldard Lip Bite -- twice!
Another neck crack sighting: In "Under the Gun," Jim cracks his neck before going to tell Fisk about the missing gun.

He also did the bite lip when he was talking to Tom about what he and his girl friend did for fun and Tom told him about pottery classes

I also noticed he did it at least twice in DogGone--at the water cooler and later--I think when he was calling about Hank.

Another Lip Bite sighting: In "In Your Face," while he's standing in the bedroom doorway, talking to Christie.

That Eldard Lip Bite must have been around for years- I also noticed it in Bakersfield PD. Watched episode 17 tonight and it's there, too.

There was a double bite lip in the Pilot--both he and Karen were doing it in the car while they were discussing Anne
