Look what our little guy is up to now! His own tv show! Wow, I bet this show will be a hit. O, you have to take credit for finding this new star, I wonder when it will hit Aussie TV? Here is an Australian icon that the Pond Dude might be interested to hear about. He had his own TV show on Saturday morning. ( Yes I am serious) His name is Ozzie. His cohost was Daryl Summers and as you can see here he had guest stars etc. on his show. some were even ducks! So I say Go Pond Dude! PS Do you carry a gun Ron?

I can't take credit for finding Ron Elduck, Natasha. I think it was Dogma who discovered him, but we all had a lot of fun with him.

Actually, the Saga of the Pond Dude reminded me of Flat Stanley. Did you ever know a kid who did Flat Stanley? It's a project usually done in fourth grade. Every kid gets a Flat Stanley cut-out and you have to pass it on to someone "interesting." This person then takes Flat Stanley everywhere with them for a week, and has to keep a written and/or photo diary. (I did it for my niece about ten years ago, and took Flat Stanley sailing and made him watch the Miss America pageant, which he found very boring because of all the bad opera singers in the Talent Competition). Anyway, when the kids get back their Flat Stanley stuff, they put it up on the bulletin board to share. The year he was up for directing Mystic River, Clint Eastwood took his daughter's Flat Stanley to the Oscars. Mallards Behaving Badly? Tooo funny! ;D

Actually, the Saga of the Pond Dude reminded me of Flat Stanley. Did you ever know a kid who did Flat Stanley? Clint Eastwood took his daughter's Flat Stanley to the Oscars. Oh Maggie, my second graders do Flat Stanley too and love it. If they are going on a trip they take him, and get pictures with him doing fun things, touring interesting sites, and meeting people. I came so close to taking him to NY as well, and asking Ron to pose with him when we went. I always chickened out as I felt he might get a little bored with me telling him the whole purpose was for the children to improve their writing skills by telling of his adventures. When I told my class I was going to NY on a particular weekend they asked if I was taking Stanley. I probably should have taken him and asked Ron, but I was trying to not be quite so obvious by the third and fourth visits. Ellen De has posed with him as well. Oh here is Clint with Flat. Now maybe Ron would have made the newspapers if he posed with Mr. Stanley. Oh some other famous people have posed with Flat Stanley. Or and here he is again with Colin Powell and being interviewed before the Superbowl. He even met the President of Galludet and his book.

Ron Elduck woke up the next morning and didn't feel so well. Too much wheat grass juice I guess. He forgot all about not feeling well when his new found family suggested piling in the car to go have a sundae at Friendly's. Before long he was looking at the menu. So many to choose from! Which one to have? He wanted to make sure his first ice cream sundae was a good one. He was having a hard time making up his mind until he saw this: Jim-Dandy! Boy did that look good and for some reason, he loved that name. He couldn't help thinking about his cousin Marty at that moment. He was stuck in a little town in Canada. Simcoe, he thought. He heard it was a nice town, but while he was sitting in a nice restaurant eating ice cream, Marty was swimming up and down the Lynn River forced to eat soggy bread that was thrown in the water and whatever else he could find. Yep! It's a bird eat bird world out there, but that's Blind Justice for you. He didn't even see this coming! Cheer up Marty. I know if you'd just lighten up a little, you'd find a nice family too. Not done yet......

Some of you wondered what Lucy looked like. Here is a picture of her and E. She is 4'10 or 11 and Carl is 6'4. I'll see if I can find a nice one of the two of them standing.

Here we are in front of the NY Library giving the future librarian tips on how to do her job. Ron wasn't the only one to have his earlobe touched by our Dogma!
