Dennis Denehy is Nancy Dressler's ex-boyfriend, which we find out from talking to Mr. Dressler while he's in a grumpy mood in the hallway of the hospital. "If he threatened us, I will handle it. If he turns out to be involved, I will still handle it." From Leonard Mattis, Nancy's demonic brother, we learn he's "a wasted out junkie, couldn't hurt a cat." Dennis had asked Nancy for money. She gave him $500, he came back a month later, "demanding two grand; I told him to beat it," said Mr. Dressler. Mattis concured, that Denehy wasn't angry about that, he "let it go." "Where is he?" Marty asks at Sing-Sing. "Hoboken." "Nice try, but we know he left the Hoboken joint three months ago." "I don't know where he is, but I got an address." "I know who comes and goes..." says Denehy's landlord. "Came in this morning with a bottle in his hand, always got a bottle in his hand." "He share that bottle with you?" "Hey, fellas, ain't I been helpful to you?" "Open the door." They find his bruised and extraordinarily smelly corpse in his skivvies, with a needle in his arm, on the pot without a shred of dignity. "This guy's been dead more'n a week. And you say you saw him this morning?" Marty asks. "Maybe I was wrong," says the landlord. Does that answer your question?
