Hey, for once we have lucked out. ;D Though it was only in the 40's (which is the norm), it was sunny! I saw the flurries on tv this morning, must have been quite a shock. Hoosier basketball, aka March madness, is currently in progress and we usually have a stint of bad weather but so far its lookin' good.

The forecast was slightly off. We got 25 cm. in the city, while some of the surrounding rural areas got 30 cm.

Southern California weather usually isn't something I post about, because I don't want everyone else on the board to be mad at me. But last Sunday, I encountered truly bizarre weather when driving over to the desert. The sun was out, but it was raining. At the same time, the wind was positively howling, so I was driving through a sandstorm!

At the same time, the wind was positively howling, so I was driving through a sandstorm! How strange! I have driven in and out of rain several times. The strangest time was when I was standing on my front porch and I could hear something and when I looked up the street it was raining! Next thing I knew it swept up the street and I got wet before I was able to get inside. Talk about weird!

We have had no snow all winter but now that it is spring, we are experiencing a blizzard. Sometimes in Colorado, the forecasters don't always get it right, like they will say it is going to snow but then it doesn't. That is what happened the last couple of storms. Today, however they really got it right. They even called a snow day this morning before it started. They were wise to do it because the wind is brutal right now creating white out conditions. I Hunkered down by making Chicken noodle soup. If we end up getting tomorrow off as well, we will have added two extra days to spring break. One of them we will probably have to make up.

The weather has certainly turned wicked in some areas. They showed it on the news here so you take care, Lindy.

Very cold today.
Still the calendar says Spring.

We had snow showers yesterday, some came down pretty good. No accumulation but we did have frost this morning so we had to water the flowers to wash it off before they were hit by the sun. The temp has dropped a little, highs only in the 50's. Nothing like what they had out west or in the great white north.

Yesterday it rained almost all day long and today we've had snowshowers almost as long. There is a thin coating on everything. They say we could have two hard freezes this week so who knows what will survive. Of course the pear tree is in bloom! Someone asked me today when we were supposed to have spring and I told them it happened a couple of weeks ago
