Whoa! somebody really shook the snow globe over here. We are experiencing a huge spring storm. We did not get a snow day because we would have to make it up. The stuff is like cement. It is very wet and heavy. Some of our staff were stuck in the parking lot. I am so tired of winter! I usually make chicken soup when it gets like this. I forgot to buy an onion and I am not going to get one. So it is roasted chicken for dinner instead.

Roast chicken sounds even better than soup to me!

We have a weather phenomenon here, last night and today--it's the first time it has happened in June for 33 years!
Anyone care to guess what it is?
Here's a hint--it's also the coldest it has ever been in June since temperatures started being recorded. -5 when I woke up. (23 F).

That's shocking for June Did you break out the long underwear The weather the last couple of days has been nice--mid 70's. We have had a lot of rain--one day almost 2 inches. The farmers have had trouble getting into the fields and there has been some flooding but nothing like last year.

I did not know whether to put this under Rant or weather. WHEN IS IT EVER GOING TO STOP RAINING? We have seen about 3-4 peeks of the sun since the beginning of May. Rain, rain rain everyday, and I think people's moods are being affected...I know mine is. I read that Seattle has had 30 days with no rain,,,so I guess we are exchanging weather patterns. I am still in school until the end of this week, so at least it has not been hot in the classroom but come Friday the skies better start clearing. The beaches are getting killed as every weekend for the past 4 have been washouts. Rain, rain go away.......... I'm just ranting. P.S. Kathy, love the aquarium pics. You missed your calling.

We are in the same boat here...literally. We are about 10 inches above normal for rain already this year. Rivers and creeks are swollen, the farmers are still trying to get into the fields and the corn is well...waterlogged to say the least. To add insult to misery, it has turned off hot and muggy. The temp today is in the mid 90's and I don't even want to think what the humiture is. The air is so heavy with moisture its hard to breath. The dogs have the best idea...lay in front of the A/C and let the world go by!

I'm about two hours down I-95 frm you, rdu, so of course we're having the same weather here in CT. I'm starting to feel like the characters in a Somerset Maugham novel who go staggering about clutching their heads, moaning about the rain, the rain, the rain, yelling at the servants and swilling gin . . . . . . and since I have no servants, that leaves the gin. I wonder, is it possible for a human being to actually mildew? Maybe we need a new BJ game to take our minds off the weird weather. I do have an idea, hint, hint. ;D

Maybe we need a new BJ game to take our minds off the weird weather. I do have an idea, hint, hint. ;D Sounds like a plan ;D No rain for the last two days--a record! But the temp hit 99 today. If you put on sunscreen it would just melt right off. Even though it hasn't rain, we have had such heavy dew in the morning you squish when you walk through the grass. They predict rain tomorrow and probably for part of the weekend so be prepared. Inuvik, too bad we couldn't send some of this your way. And you always seem to get what you don't need rather than what you do. I just hope the people who love super hot weather are happy but you know, I never see them out on days like this
