Wow GB, those were great chapters, especially the undercover night in chapter 10. I love seeing the squad working together and especially liked Jim espressing his feelings about them all after downing quite a few drinks. Jim we know does not open up like that so he will probably hate himself in the morning. Your dialogue is right on and so true to the characters. Boy makes you think what could have been with a second season.

I just posted Chapters 11-13 at ff.net.
The calm before the storm.
I posted Chap. 11 here, dunno if I'll have time tonight to post the other two, but I'll try. It takes a while to go through and make sure I catch all the italicized words and phrases.
I don't know how Charles Dickens kept everything straight doing serializations this way, and not being able to go back after to a previous chapter to edit. He deserves sainthood for that.

You've outdone yourself this time GB! The whole scene at the church and the after affects of it really kind of gave me the creeps--which means you did an awesome job in writing it. Kind of reinforces the fact that cults prey on lonely outsiders or people that are a little down. Somehow Josiah knew Jim's weakness and used it against him.
Jim seems to have taken it as a wake up call though. Looks like he may take the final steps down the road to acceptance--both of his blindness and his past actions.
Can't wait for more.

Another good chapter. Nice to see Jim back to normal. That was so strange, but true to life from what I know. Can't wait for more.

I just posted Eighteen and Nineteen on ff.net and I'll put them over here in a few minutes.
I've been waiting post Ch. 19 for over a month! I wrote it before I even posted the sixth chapter--it's about time I got to put it up. Yaaaay!

Man GB, I can hardly keep up to you, but it's great. As one of many fanfic junkies, I'm sure I'm not the only one who has a hard time waiting for the next chapter from the many talented writers around here.

Eeep! I'm into the really intricate part of the story. It's hard because things that happen three chapters from now, I have to write them before I can write the next scene... I just can't keep up with posting chapters when I have to write that way.
Here's Chapter 20, here and at ff.net. I really really hope I got everything into this chapter that needs to be here. If not, you may throw rotten tomatoes at me later.

I loved the scene in the car. Kind of awkward but both wondering the same thing. Maybe Jim is going to forgive Terry? Marty's protection of Jim is so nice to see. (Not letting Tom touch his shoulder.) Kind of continues where the series left off. Loved all the emotion and unspoken thoughts/feelings in the chapter. Hurry with 21 ok?

Chapter 20 -another great chapter. I really enjoyed all that soul searching by both Jim and Karen about the responsibilities of being a partner. Loved the fact that Christie brought dinner to the squad and loved how sweet Jim was to her, and vice versa with all those hand squeezes. Can't wait for more. Oh and the case is so intriging, too.
