So we have talked about movies others loved that we hated, now how about movies others hated that you loved. I loved the movie Airhead with Brendan Fraser, I thought it was hilarious. I don't know anyone else who liked it.

Boy, there are so many. You mentioning Airhead reminded me of some of the silly comedies I liked that others didn't:
Ishtar (the universally lambasted film!) Dude, Where's My Car?
And yes, I am ashamed to admit it: Beavis and Butt-head Do America
I'm sure there are many other flicks, but those come immediately to mind.

I've been enjoying some absolutely funny movies lately. Two that really stick out were Rumor Has It, which I saw in the theater a few weeks ago and Mystery, Alaska which I just watched last Saturday. I laughed so hard at the cursing, actually it was so funny we rewound the DVD and watched the scene again. Could this also have something to do with my recent interest in Ice Skating?

I'm a Mel Brooks fan: Blazing Saddles Young Frankenstein The Producers. (the remake could never hold a candle to the original.) High Anxiety.
A lot of people do not like Brook's shows. I still think they are cinema treasures.

Robin Hood: Men in Tights!
And what little I saw of History of the World Part 1 (I think it was part 1). And Monty Python's Meaning of Life (and the Holy Grail, of course).

now how about movies others hated that you loved. A couple of my top faves are routinely ridiculed by the critics and masses: DaredevilSoldier (this one doesn't get much attention unless someone's slamming Russell) And one I found readily entertaining that was loathed by just about everyone: Gigli. For some reason I always get really excited when Night of the Comet is on cable. What a horrible movie! But it entertains me. I also have a strange fondness for Weird Science.

Just thought of another one. Most people I know hated this movie, but I thought Mars Attacks was great! And what a cast! Pierce Brosnan, Michael J. Fox, Jack Nicholson, Annette Benning, Tom Jones, Natalie Portman, Martin Short, Sarah Jessica Parker...and those are just the ones I can remember off the top of my head. Very fun movie!

Sugar and Spice. I laughed my way through it and still do every time I see it on TV.

I absolutely love this movie too. Who knew yodeling could be sooo dangerous. And when the Martians all went ecckkk! I couldn't stop laughing! I also like-- Tremors-Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward. Michael Gross and Reba McIntire are the ultimate survivalists complete with elephant gun. No#1 and 3 were the best! Gross' character had one of the worms mounted in his rec room! The Shadow-Alex Baldwin playing the hero based on the old radio show Down Periscope-Kelsey Grammer as a misfit submariner with a crew of misfits who outwit a Navy nuclear sub in a refitted WWII vintage sub in a war games scenario! The end of the movie you see the Village People singing "In the Navy" Its a hoot! The Village-Bryce Howard, Jaoquin Phoenix--a lot of people didn't care for this one by M. Night S. but the ending really took me by surprise! And the blindness of Howard's character Ivy played well into that ending.

Men at Work. Grease 2. Mannequin 2. Wargames.
And Pump Up the Volume is one of my all-time favorites--it's on my fav list, so I didn't put it here, even though most people have never heard of it.
