My vote is for one chapter a day. No use all the fun being over too quickly. My apologies for not posting till now. I seem to be very busy at the moment. I'm so glad he made it out of the dump ok. And does anyone want to smack Troy as much as I do? Even if Jim was a homeless guy, he deserves better treatment than he got! Anyway, as always N, I love your vivid descriptions of the different scenes and emotions. You certainly have a way of getting me to feel everything your characters feel which I think is a real gift. Keep it up! How's Jim going to handle finding out his blindness is permanent and not a result of dehydration? I'm sure that will be another well-written emotional roller coaster.

Oh poor Krissie, she'll be late for work again tomorrow. Another great chapter N, and I already feel better now that he has gotten out of that dump. You better not post it all at once or Krissie will not make it to work until Tuesday. Hint hint...two chapters a day would be nice. Hey! I resent that! I'm a very diligent employee, and I've never been late! There have, however, been a few occasions when I haven't been as early as I'd like. This morning, for instance. Late versus not early. There is a difference, you know! ;D Thank you, N, for getting Jim out of that dump. Thanks for letting Karen and co find him. But... Psst! Karen! Hank probably needs a trip to the vet just about now. You know. For a check up. And he's probably thirsty and hungry, and if you're not careful, when he wakes up, he'll eat your upholstery out of desperation! Finally, my impatience aside, one part a day is just fine. The pacing is great. I suspect that, if I got it all at once, I'd end up devouring the story in one go and not savour it as much as I should. Then again, I could always reread it over... and over... and over again. Which I probably will end up doing, anyway. Krissie

Because these are my thoughts exactly!!!! So, N, once again thank you for rescuing Jim and Hank (don't forget the vet check and feeding him ) And one chapter a day is perfect Karma, karma, Krissie and Natascha ;D - Chris

Chris, thank you for the karma. I hadn't had any in a while, so I appreciated this one all the more for its rarity value! Mary: I wasn't late for work today, either. Not even in light of getting held up by two sets of road works. (Apparently, it's digging-up-the-road season here). Ash: your story is continuing to entertain me. But -- ah! -- poor Jim! And poor Hank. Off his feed. Poor love. Krissie

Ouch! A crowbar to the head and multiple times! *wince* Poor Jim. Hank evidently didn't see that coming. I loved Marty's reaction to it not being Hank in the dumpster. Of course, he will deny everything once Jim is back. Poor Hank, left tied up all alone outside the emergency entrance. Obviously (and luckily) they hadn't called Animal Control so he could go home with Karen. And falling asleep in the back of the car...awww. Wonder what Christie will do when the whole story comes out? And I will happily read whatever and however you post it A. Thanks a million. One happy reader.

I knew this was going to be hard. Having amnesia is bad enough but also being told that you are blind when you thought it was only temporarily must be terrible. It was funny though when he didn't believe Karen when she told him he was a detective - maybe you should have Cracker Jack come for a visit and tell Jim that he plays pool too Then he will never believe anything Karen tells him ;D When are Tom and Marty going to pay him a visit? Maybe some sniping from Marty will jog his memory - Chris

Oh A, I just feel for Jim. Having to learn his blindness is permanent, having lost the skills he had worked so hard to attain and not remembering anything! And then, to have come out of his own mouth all the things you know he heard as he was trying to get back to his job, wow! This is one great piece of work!!!

Natasha, It's been so much fun getting the nightly chapter, and I know one of these days it's going to say, The End. I am spoiled now and hope you keep entertaining us. This has been one great story. Thanks.

In honour of Ash's chapter nine, I offer you... (I've had this one stashed away for a while, and I've been waiting for an excuse to inflict it on folk! And I've very happily read chapter ten. Catching up with each part has become a real morning ritual... a wonderful treat at the start of each day. Krissie

Impressed, impressed, impressed indeed.
Go, Ash. I too am especially lovin the whole amnesia thing - does the mind subconsciously get rid off things the emotions don't want to know about when trauma hits? Is the effect of trauma to block this stuff out?
You are doing so well with this one. I too like having Dr Galloway back and the different Jim he and others are dealing with - not being so hard on himself.
Thanks for this. Really appreciate it.
Cheers
Matilda
