Received the following Yahoo link this morning for Freedomland - and the review, much like the trailers, is very complimentary to this film. news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060211/review_nm/film_freedomland_dc_1Perhaps one of the most telling descriptions of what we can expect from Ron Eldard in his portrayal of Danny Martin is "brutal."

SPOILER ALERT!
Another review I've read says that it is also based on the true story of Susan Smith.
If you don't remember who that is, or don't want a spoiler, I won't say anything more!
If you do want to know, a google search for her name will bring up the story.

RON ALERT !!! --- RON ALERT !!! --- RON ALERT !!!My TV section today lists our Ron as a guest on Thursday's Tony Danza show. ;D At first I thought he was publicizing "Doubt," but then thought maybe he's publicizing "Freedomland" as it opens on Friday. Maybe he'll be on other NY-based talk shows!!!

Yesterday I saw the newer, longer preview someone mentioned here, where RE is shown 4 times.
Gosh he looks different (and worse IMO). He has a goatee or beard or something, and brown eyes, and brown hair (yuck! But then I like redheads and blondes)
So are his natural eyes blue and the contacts brown? I believe I remember reading he didn't use contacts or anything in BJ to go all blurry, he did it himself, so his eyes must be blue.

Keep an eye out for cast members appearing on talk shows to see new clips...
Edie Falco was just on "Regis" and they showed a great scene with Julianne Moore (but no Ron). Between the multiple versions of the trailer and the few scenes that have been shown, the movie looks pretty good!
They said Julianne Moore would be on "Regis" tomorrow - Feb. 15. And Julianne, Samuel L. and Edie are all supposed to be on "The View" on Friday (maybe Ron will be there, too...)

To whet your appetite: What an odd get-up.

I thought so too. He does show up in some odd get-ups. Definitely a man in need of a stylist.

Oh, I don't know...marches to the beat of his own drummer! After all, it is winter in New York - zip front sweater, long grey wool coat - I kind of like it (I suppose he could have left thesweater collar down - maybe his neck was cold?) And without the coat, that sweater fits.......quite nicely!

What a pleasant surprise to find. All I have seen is that he will be on the Tony Danza show.

Oh, I don't know...marches to the beat of his own drummer! Maybe he just didn't want Edie Falco to feel like the only oddly dressed person there. Ok, I've officially reached my snark limit for the day.
