I promise, if I should run into him, your wish is my command. Now, do you all see just WHY I will NEVER, EVER leave my playground? Come join me in my sandbox! Don't tempt me. I could become a groupie and live in a cardboard box. Oh my , the new cast is finally up on the Doubt website. WOW.

Ron is on the official "Doubt" site now. www.doubtonbroadway.com/Are those his brothers and sisters he names on the "Cast" page? Must be his siblings because he is one of seven and there are six names. All the girls with an 'L' and the boys all with 'R'. It's nice to know that he is close with his family when all we know is that the family was separated and raised by other family members when their mother died. So nice that he acknowledged them in the cast listing.

He also dedicates the performance to his seventh grade math teacher who saved his life. That's pretty special. Wonder what happened.

And we have to find out the story of the teacher who "saved his life"!

To any board member in the New York Metropolitan Area with Tivo . . . . . . which, unfortunately, ain't me. Let's all keep an eye on a very "inside" program out of New York PBS called Theater Talk. (You can find it on the main PBS website but they have precious little information.) This is the real deal for theater junkies and insiders, and where people you see nowhere else show up for interviews. It's a half hour show and the host is the film critic for the New York Daily News -- I can never remember his name because he's a dead ringer for David Hyde Pierce, a.k.a. Niles Crane, so I just keep calling him Niles. The co-host is a smart woman named Susan Something-or-other, whose name also escapes me, but she really could use a better haircut. But I digress. I mention this because if Ron and Eileen Atkins show up anywhere for an extended interview, I am betting my bottom dollar this will be the place. This is the show where theatre folks who disdain the "straight" media -- people like critic John Simon, Harvey Fierstein, even the sainted Stephen Sondheim -- come to dish and talk shop. Great show. Utterly addictive. Don't know anyone else who watches it, and PBS keeps moving it around so it's only on at odd times, like midnight Saturday nights. I set up an email alert to be notified when Theatre Talk is on, but no interviewees were listed. Fingers crossed. And I'll keep you all posted. I'll also keep tracking Charlie Rose's interview show on PBS, since he loves Brit actresses and it's the only interview show I've ever seen Eileen Atkins on. So this is really a plea to greenbeing and bebe and the New York contingent. Got TiVo, gals? Let's keep our eyes peeled so we can share the good stuff with our buddies in the rest of the country and Canada!

If that ever happens, I would pay big bucks to see it first hand or give lots of karma or whatever. ;D I bet I won't get it around my place! If I did this is what my face would look like:

I was going to wait till June. I'd be done work for the summer and have more money. That would have been so sad.

OPENING NIGHT! I think I am more nervous than he is. Break a leg, Ron. Can't wait to read the reviews. "I know" he's gonna "absolutely" wow them. "Believe it" Too bad we didn't send him a big fruit basket or something. Or a basket filled with mini corncobs.

Apparently, if they do appear on Theater Talk, we can order tapes of the episode. www.theatertalk.org/
